Learning outcomes: • knowledge of the theory of aerospace imaging using photographic, digital, television, radio-thermal, laser and radar systems; • understanding the principles of using of aerospace imaging system for solving specific problems; • ability to work with software products for environmental monitoring; • knowledge of the methodology of image quality evaluating.

Summary of the subject: Model of remote sensing of Earth. Main thematic problems that solve using remote sensing data. Aircrafts. Classification of aircrafts and their specifications. Classification of spacecrafts. Resource satellites. The main parameters of spacecraft flight. Classification of imaging systems. Television imaging systems. Digital imaging systems of matrix and linear type. Scanning systems. Radar system.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Reports on laboratory works, computational and graphic work, tests (40%) • Exam test: written, oral (60%)
