Мета вивчення дисципліни: Study of the production activities of state and private organizations of Ukraine, geodetic and cartographic services, which are deal in the organization, conduct and processing of materials of terrestrial, aerial syrveying, remote sensing and laser scanning; familiarization with software products, geoinformation systems, computer complexes and automated systems and stations; performing a complex of topographic-geodetic and photogrammetric works during the compilation of topographic maps of various scales, solving engineering and scientific research problems using terrestrial, aerospace images, laser scanning materials; participation in the development and use of computer technologies, geoinformation systems; acquisition of practical skills in performing field, chamber work, programming, working with computer complexes; consolidation and deepening of knowledge of the academic disciplines of the department, direct practical preparation for specialist activities, collection of materials for diploma project.
Завдання: • The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems during professional activity in the field of geodesy and land management or in the studying process, which involves the application of theoretical knowledge to study related educational programs; • Planning and time management skills; • Ability to apply knowledge in practice; • Ability to work both individually and in a team; • Responsibility for the quality of performed work; • Knowledge of specialized software and GIS systems and basic programming skills to solve applied professional problems; • Knowledge of modern technological processes and systems of technological preparation of production; • Ability to understand and take into account social, ecological, ethical, economic aspects affecting the formation of technical solutions; • The ability to argue the choice of methods for solving specialized problems, critically evaluate the obtained results and defend the decisions made; • Use of appropriate terminology and forms of expression in the field of geoinformatics.

Summary of the subject: Practice on the topic of the master's qualification work for the specializations "Geoinformation systems and technologies" and "Photogrammetry and remote sensing" is carried out in the second year of the educational and qualification level "master" after full completion of theoretical studies. According to the curriculum, the duration of the internship is 270 hours, 9 ECTS credits or 6 weeks. Practice is conducted at practice bases - enterprises, organizations, institutions of topographic-geodetic, cartographic and land management profiles, which in their production activities use modern photogrammetric and geo-information technologies using UAVs, remote sensing and laser scanning data. The selection of practice bases is carried out by the department on the basis of an analysis of the scientific and technical equipment of the production and economic capabilities of enterprises, organizations and institutions that can meet the modern requirements for the training of specialists provided for in the industry standards of higher education (HSVO). The list of practice bases, with the obligatory consideration of orders for the training of specialists, is approved at a department meeting and submitted in writing to the department of employment and relations with production of the university no later than two months before the start of practice for the preparation of agreements. In some cases, students, in agreement with the department, can independently choose a place of practice and propose it for the conclusion of a relevant agreement. If the training of specialists is conducted according to targeted agreements, then the bases of practice are the enterprises, organizations and institutions for which targeted training is carried out, and in the case of training of specialists on the order of natural (legal) persons, the bases of practice are determined by the terms of the agreement (contract). Educational, production and scientific-research units (laboratories) of the university, other structural units that have the necessary equipment and professional personnel can be used as bases for practical training of students. In this case, agreements are not concluded. Experienced teachers of the department are appointed as supervisors of students' practice, whose duties include ensuring the necessary organizational measures are taken before sending students to practice, namely: drawing up diaries and directions to practice bases and issuing them to student-practitioners; conducting briefings on the practice procedure and practice reporting system, criteria for evaluating knowledge, skills and abilities that students must achieve during practice, and the procedure for defending the practice report before the commission. Highly qualified employees of enterprises, organizations, institutions, whose main responsibilities are outlined in separate sections of the agreement between the university and the practice base, are appointed as practice managers from the practice base.
Опис: Students undergo practice on the topic of the master's qualification work in geodetic and cartographic enterprises, scientific institutes of the corresponding profile, engineering and construction, surveying organizations, land cadastral bureaus, geoinformation services, environmental centers, etc. During the practice, students are enrolled in engineering and technical positions and independently perform production work under the guidance of qualified specialists, which can be paid in accordance with existing norms and by agreement of the parties. During the practice, students should study the following questions: • economy, organization and management of production; • technology of modern production processes; • equipment, devices, computing equipment, issues of automation of production processes; • standardization and quality control of products; • measures to improve labor efficiency and productivity; • issues of labor protection; • ecological issues of environmental protection.
Assessment methods and criteria: written report (70%) and presentation (30%)
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: During practice a system of current and final control is applied both from the higher educational institution and from the practice base when performing individual sections and the entire practice. The final practice report and the assignment form and the results of the practice are submitted to the practice supervisors from the practice base and from the higher educational institution, who compile feedback on the student's practice, evaluate this report and submit it to the commission for accepting credits based on the practice results.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to clearly analyze the phenomena being studied, in their relationship and development , succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
