Summary of the subject: Medieval Europe, as a special zone of the formation of a single European civilization, has long been the subject of complex research and study, mostly in the Western European cultural and political contexts. The importance of studying the history and culture of Europe during the Middle Ages as a separate discipline lies in the fact that it allows you to better understand and look at the history of your own country from a different angle, because the determining factors of historical processes often arise not in the middle of the country, but outside its borders. Therefore, the history of Ukraine often becomes more obvious against the background of the history of other European states, because Ukraine is a part of the European civilization space. At the same time, studying the history of medieval Europe as a whole region allows one to rise above national histories, which can be, and sometimes are, limited, isolated and self-centered. The discipline is designed to be studied by students majoring in "Museology. Monumentology", so special attention is paid to the study of the material culture of Europe of the Middle Ages, preserved monuments of art, military affairs and economy. The course also examines the history of the emergence, development and decline of feudalism in the countries of Western Europe and Byzantium for more than a thousand years from the fall of the Western Roman Empire to the middle of the 17th century.
Опис: The formation of European nations and states, which appeared in the Middle Ages, the emergence of national cultures, psychology and features, as well as legacy left by modernity. Features of the formation and formation of medieval European culture
