Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of competencies in students of education:
- integral competence
The ability to analyze and evaluate problems in various aspects of museology, monument studies and cultural tourism and to propose scientifically reasoned solutions, taking into account a holistic, multi-perspective, interdisciplinary, axiological approach to the understanding and interpretation of cultural heritage.
- general competencies:
Knowledge and understanding of the subject area and implementation of professional activities.
- professional competences:
To analyze the origins and essence, the dynamics of the development of cultural tourism and its socio-cultural consequences.
The ability to research and popularize the historical and cultural heritage.
Learning outcomes: Ability to master the prerequisites, the main stages of development of excursion and tourist activities in Ukraine and the world.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the theory and practice of museum studies, monument studies and cultural tourism.
Required prior and related subjects: "Fundamentals of professional communication".

Summary of the subject: study of theoretical bases, factors of origin and development of travel, dynamics of travel development in different historical periods and socio-cultural contexts, comprehension of world tourist heritage with creative application of acquired competencies in the professional sphere.
Опис: The educational discipline involves the study of the following topics: "The phenomenon and origins of tourism", "Early journeys and types of journeys", "Travels in the era of antiquity", "Culture of travel in the Middle Ages", "Great geographical discoveries and journeys of the XV - XVI centuries.", Development of early modern and modern tourism", "History of tourism and excursion business in Ukraine in the 19th - 20th centuries", "Golden age of tourism (20th - early 21st centuries)", "Tourism as a global phenomenon."
Assessment methods and criteria: Semester evaluation of student learning is carried out according to the total number of points (100) obtained according to the results of current control (45) and the implementation of control measures – examination (55 – both written and oral component).
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Semester assessment (SO) of students' knowledge is carried out based on the results of current control (PC) and examination control (EC). Completion of an individual research task (INDZ) is a mandatory component of the assessment. The final stage of evaluation is the exam (EC).
Thus, the program results of students' studies are evaluated on a 100-point scale with subsequent transfer to the state evaluation.
Current control includes assessments of performances and answers in practical classes (maximum 35 points) and an individual scientific research task.
