Мета вивчення дисципліни: assimilation of knowledge and acquisition of skills necessary for carrying out scientific research and fruitful creative work by students of the specialty "Museology. Monumentology", of their successful application of modern methods of scientific research in their future professional activities.
Завдання: The study of the discipline involves the formation of students with the necessary competencies: - general competencies: ability to work taking into account the domestic and international context; ability to identify, pose and solve problems. - professional competencies: the ability to implement the latest museological and monument protection practices in the domestic museum and monument protection industry; implementation of research, scientific and pedagogical, management activities. The learning outcomes of this discipline detail the following program learning outcomes: know the basic algorithms for conducting research in the field of museum work and protection of historical and cultural monuments; methods of search, accumulation and processing of scientific information; methods and techniques of theoretical and practical research; the role and diversity of historical sources in the study of historical and cultural processes.
Learning outcomes: to know: ZN.1. The ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the scientific foundations of the organization, modernization of processes in the professional field; ZN.7. The ability to demonstrate knowledge of the current state and prospects for the development of museum studies, monument studies and cultural tourism. to be able to: UM.1. Critically, systematically think and apply creative abilities to generate ideas; UM 7. Search for information in various sources to solve specialty tasks.
Required prior and related subjects: basic knowledge of European history and the history of Ukraine
Summary of the subject: One of the most important elements of the educational process when obtaining the "bachelor" qualification level is writing a master's thesis. The course "Fundamentals of scientific research" is aimed at assimilation of knowledge and acquisition of skills necessary for carrying out scientific research and fruitful creative work by students of the specialty "Museology. Monumentology". The task of the course is to create conditions for the further successful application by students of modern methods of scientific research in their future professional activities.
Опис: To acquaint students with general information on science and research, concept, function and value of science and research, organization of science and research in Ukraine, scientific ethics, hygiene of mental work, research methodology, special and general research methods. Learn to identify the object and subject of study, choose a theme study to prove its relevance, formulate and solve specific goals and objectives of the study, seek and work with historical sources and literature at libraries, archives, Internet. Introduction to the methodology of writing a term or research paper.
Assessment methods and criteria: rating assessment on a 100-point system: current tests - 40 points (quiz, presentation, oral and written answers), final test - 60 points (written exam).
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: 100-point rating by the system: current control – 40 points (40 for class answers, 5 for presentation); final control – 60 points (exam). Work in classes: Report - a maximum of 3 points. Criteria: - quality of knowledge – its completeness, depth, flexibility, systematicity, strength; - speech culture (literacy, logic and sequence of presentation); - the level of meaningfulness of knowledge - the ability to formulate independent evaluation judgments and theoretical conclusions. Reviewing, opposing in class - a maximum of 2 points (ability to oppose and review; ability to argue one's own judgments and conclusions during a scientific discussion). Presentation of the project on updating little-known objects of cultural heritage - 5 points. Criteria: – ability to analyze, compare, classify and summarize material; - general design of the visual series; - a creative approach to presenting information; - logicality and sequence of presentation of the material; - attracting a sufficient number of sources of information.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
