Завдання: The ability to analyze and evaluate problems in various aspects of museology, monument studies and cultural tourism and to propose scientifically reasoned solutions, taking into account a holistic, multi-perspective, interdisciplinary, axiological approach to the understanding and interpretation of cultural heritage.
The ability to ensure the effective use and popularization of objects of historical, cultural and natural heritage in accordance with the monument protection legislation.
The ability to determine the progressive movement of science and technology in the context of civilizational and historical development.
Learning outcomes: as a result of the discipline the student is able to:
apply the acquired theoretical knowledge in practice in professional activities; carry out a comprehensive and objective analysis of science and technology; professionally characterize qualitative and quantitative transformation of scientific and technical contribution of a particular person to science and technology. The student is able to: analyze the situation and solutions to technical problems; critically evaluate key scientific and technological achievements and their impact on the development of culture
Required prior and related subjects: history of Ukrainian culture, history and culture of Europe, part 1, 2.
Summary of the subject: The discipline is devoted to the analysis of the essence of scientific and technological progress and its influence on the development of culture. It defines the place and role of science and technology in the life of a person and society, describes the scientific and technical thought and achievements of different historical eras, current scientific and technical problems of the past and present.
Опис: Scientific and technological progress and its impact on the development of culture; Appliances in the culture system; science as part of culture; forming elements of technical and scientific knowledge; Scientific thought and practice of antiquity; science and technology in the Middle Ages; scientific revolution and technological achievements of the XVII century; science and technology in the XVIII century; Industrial Revolution and its consequences; the latest revolution in natural science at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries; scientific and technical progress of the first half of the twentieth century; technological revolution and its impact on cultural processes; problem mechanization culture XXI century .; the emergence and development of technology and science in the Ukrainian lands from ancient time to the Middle Ages; technological progress and transformation in Ukraine in a new and modern era; Modern problems of Ukrainian science and technology.
Assessment methods and criteria: Semester evaluation of student learning is carried out according to the total number of points (100)
- Current control (40%), oral examination, answers to seminars, writing essays.
- Final evaluation (60%) in the form of exam.

Individual task on the topic: "The history of my family against the background of cultural and historical
processes of the 20th - beginning of the 21st century." 10 1) Completeness of presentation - relevance, informative novelty; analyzing more than three generations of one's family (on the paternal or maternal side), tracking the changes of each generation, identity, experience, values, ways of making decisions of family importance; what exactly and
why did you have a formative influence on your generation, due to which you differ from your parents (weight in the evaluation of the task - 2 points).
2) Analysis – the depth, persuasiveness and consistency of arguments, the ability to correctly analyze and compare facts in which your family history overlaps with events in the history of your people (weight in the assessment of the task – 2 points).
3) Presentation style – the text must be original, authentic, without elements of plagiarism and copying of other people's texts. It is necessary to formulate research questions well, to present the facts in the form of a lively, interesting, logical narrative. Make a short and clear summary (weight in the assessment of the task - 3 points).
4) Source base – try to involve as much source material as possible in writing. We are talking about oral conversations with relatives and acquaintances, as well as written sources (letters, diaries, memories, birth certificates, marriage, photo materials, documents about some activity - employment book, membership card of some organization, military card, documents about job assignment, position, newspapers covering the activities of relatives, etc.). You can also use books on the history of your native village, town or city, which may contain references to representatives of your family (weight in the assessment of the task - 3 points).
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
