Мета вивчення дисципліни: to form among students a set of knowledge and ideas about the role of ethics in the professional activity of the future specialist in museum studies and cultural tourism, as well as about the peculiarities of the norms and rules of professional ethics in the field of museum affairs; assimilation by students of basic ethical codes, concepts of methods of humanistic and, actually, professional ethics of a specialist in the field, acquisition of skills and their independent application in practice, as well as acquisition of skills in solving complex moral problems.
Завдання: general competences: -The ability to determine and understand the influence of social, cultural, political and ethical contexts, conditions and factors in professional activity; professional competences: - The ability to determine and understand the influence of social, cultural, political and ethical contexts, conditions and factors in professional activity; - Knowledge of ethical norms, rules and duties in the professional sphere, approved in national legislation and their observance in professional activity;
Learning outcomes: -Ability to implement basic strategies of professional communication; -The ability to effectively interact with the museum audience and the public within the communicative field of professional activity; - The ability to take a responsible attitude to the work performed and achieve the set goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics.
Required prior and related subjects: Basics of the scientific research. Circulation of historical and cultural values.
Summary of the subject: The educational discipline consistently examines the peculiarities of the formation of professional ethics and its relevance in modern professional practices. The subject, tasks, theoretical foundations, methodology, main directions of professional ethics are defined, the specifics of the production and development of practical skills and decision-making skills for the ethical behavior of specialists in dilemma situations of professional activity are clarified, as well as familiarization with the codes of professional ethics. The peculiarities of mastering the methods of analysis of these codes and their improvement, developing understanding and conviction regarding following the norms of professional ethics, as a necessary condition for professional development, are considered. Practices of effective use of business communication skills, prevention of complex ethical professional collisions are modeled on the example of peculiar scenarios of professional situations in museums and historical preservation institutions.
Опис: Subject and tasks of the discipline. Theoretical foundations of ethics as a socio-cultural phenomenon. Retrospective of ethics development. Philosophical and historical essence of ethics. General characteristics of morality. Professional ethics and professional morality. Features of the origin and functioning of moral and professional codes and applied professional ethics. Corporate culture. Ethics of business communication in the professional sphere. Ethics and professionalism of a museum worker. Code of Museum Ethics. Current issues of professional ethics of museum workers in the XXI century. Specifics of implementation and functioning of exposition ethics in the professional activity of an employee in the field of preservation of historical and cultural heritage. Professional culture and ethics in tourism. Cultural heritage and sustainable development of society.
Assessment methods and criteria: 100-point rating: current control - 50 points (polls. presentations, oral and written answers); final control work - 50 points.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Rating assessment with a 100-point scale. 45 points – oral answers in practical classes. The maximum number of points per class is 5 points. Report - a maximum of 3 points. Criteria: - quality of knowledge – its completeness, depth, flexibility, systematicity, strength; - speech culture (literacy, logic and sequence of presentation); - the level of meaningfulness of knowledge - the ability to formulate independent evaluation judgments and theoretical conclusions. Reviewing, opposing in class - a maximum of 2 points (ability to oppose and review; ability to argue one's own judgments and conclusions during a scientific discussion). 15 points - completion of an individual task: a presentation on one of the topics in the style of the TED x conference. Criteria: - ability to analyze, compare, classify and summarize material; - general design of the visual series; - a creative approach to presenting information; - logicality and sequence of presentation of the material; - attracting a sufficient number of sources of information. 20 points – Control work 1 (written answers to questions from 1-7 topics). 20 points – Control work 2 (written answers to questions from 8-15 topics).
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
