PH01. To use the conceptual apparatus of sociology in educational, research and other spheres of professional activity.
PH02. To understand the history of the development of sociology, its modern concepts and theories, the main problems.
PH03. Apply the provisions of sociological theories and concepts to the study of social changes in Ukraine and the world.
PH04. To explain the patterns and peculiarities of the development and functioning of social phenomena in the context of professional tasks.

PH07. To be able to use information and communication technologies in the process of searching, collecting and analyzing sociological information.

Summary of the subject: The study of the discipline "Theoretical Sociology" involves students mastering the basics of sociological knowledge and their application to the analysis of the phenomena of modern society.
The study of the discipline includes the work of students in lectures and practical classes, the completion of tasks on each topic and independent work under the guidance of the teacher on the study of each topic.
The presentation of theoretical provisions and the implementation of practical tasks should be accompanied by close cooperation between the teacher and students, which significantly increases the level of efficiency of knowledge acquisition.
Опис: Subject of sociology. Methodology and methods of sociological research. The main stages of the development of sociological thought. Formation and development of sociology in Ukraine. Society as a system. Social changes and development of society. Personality in the system of social relations. Social structure of society. Social stratification. Ethno-national structure of society. The process and types of social interaction.
Social control and deviant behavior. Social institutions. Social organizations. Culture and society.
Assessment methods and criteria: • oral interviews, participation in discussions and interactive exercises, presentation of the study project (40%)
• final control test, written form (60%)

– quality of knowledge – its completeness, depth, flexibility, systematicity, strength;
- correct use of conceptual and terminological apparatus;
- speech culture (literacy, logic and sequence of presentation);
- the level of meaningfulness of knowledge - the ability to formulate independent evaluation judgments and theoretical conclusions.

Performance of interactive exercises or case analysis - 4 b.
- the sequence of solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case;
- approaches to solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case study;
- the quality of solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case study;
- disclosure of cause-and-effect relationships between phenomena and processes during the solution of the situation proposed in the exercise or case.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems;
87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems;
49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
