Мета вивчення дисципліни: Students' assimilation of knowledge about the theoretical and methodological foundations of modern models of social policy, the most important ideas and theories of world and domestic social policy, the formation of universal human values and national consciousness, high political culture, political tolerance.
Завдання: The study of an academic discipline involves the formation of the necessary competencies in students: - general competencies: ЗK 5. Ability to communicate with representatives of other professional groups of different levels (with experts from other fields of knowledge/types of economic activity). ЗK 6. The ability to act socially responsibly and consciously. ЗK 11. The ability to realize one's rights and responsibilities as a member of society, to realize the values of a civil (free democratic) society and the need for its sustainable development, the rule of law, the rights and freedoms of a person and a citizen in Ukraine. ЗK 14. The ability to identify problems and make informed decisions. special competences: СК 3. Ability to analyze social changes taking place in Ukraine and the world as a whole. professional competences of a professional direction: ФКС 1.2. The ability to understand and take into account the context of social policy in professional activity.
Learning outcomes: Use the conceptual apparatus of sociology in educational, research and other areas of professional activity. Understand the history of sociology, its modern concepts and theories, the main problems. Apply the provisions of sociological theories and concepts to the study of social change in Ukraine and the world. Explain the patterns and features of development and functioning of social phenomena in the context of professional tasks. Communicate fluently in state and foreign languages orally and in writing on professional matters. Effectively perform various roles (including organizer, communicator, critic, idea generator, performer, etc.) in the team in the process of solving professional problems. Substantiate their own position, make and argue independent conclusions based on research and analysis of professional literature. Be able to develop a program of sociological research. Have the skills to collect social information using quantitative and qualitative methods. Present the results of their own research to professionals and non-specialists. Know and adhere to the ethical norms of the sociologist's professional activity. Conceptual scientific and practical knowledge. Critical understanding of theories, principles, methods and concepts in the field of professional activity and / or training. Knowledge of theoretical and methodological principles of socio-engineering activities, including social forecasting, social planning and design. In-depth cognitive and practical skills, mastery and innovation at the level required to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of professional activity or training. Communicating information, ideas, problems, solutions, personal experience and arguments to specialists and non-specialists. Communication on professional issues, including in a foreign language, orally and in writing Ability to take responsibility for making and making decisions in unpredictable work and / or learning contexts. Forming judgments that take into account social, scientific and ethical aspects. Organization and management of professional development of individuals and groups.

Summary of the subject: In the course of studying the discipline, students must learn the basic concepts and understand the essence and content of social policy; social policy tools and their use; approaches to the classification of social policy models; social protection of a person as a component of social policy; social policy in the global context; theories of public policy; the process of social policy formation; models of policy formation; approaches to improving the formation and implementation of social policy. As a result of studying the discipline, students gain practical skills in researching social policy models, understanding approaches and components of social policy planning and implementation, etc.
Опис: The essence and content of social policy. Approaches to classifications of social policy models. Social policy instruments and their use. Human social protection as a component of social policy. Poverty: concepts, criteria, indicators, coping strategies. Labor market and its components. The essence of social insurance and its components. The essence and types of social assistance.
Assessment methods and criteria: • oral interviews, participation in discussions and interactive exercises, presentation of the study project (40%) • final control (verification event, exam), written form (60%)
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Report - 4 – quality of knowledge – its completeness, depth, flexibility, systematicity, strength; - correct use of conceptual and terminological apparatus; - speech culture (literacy, logic and sequence of presentation); - the level of meaningfulness of knowledge - the ability to formulate independent evaluation judgments and theoretical conclusions. Supplement - 1 - a scientifically based statement that reveals the essence of phenomena, processes, patterns. Performing interactive exercises or case analysis - 4 - the sequence of solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case study; - approaches to solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case study; - the quality of solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case study; - disclosure of cause-and-effect relationships between phenomena and processes during the solution of the situation proposed in the exercise or case. Reviewing, opposing - 2 - correctness, logic, reasonableness, integrity of knowledge; - the ability to argue one's own judgments and conclusions during a scientific discussion. Individual task "Social policy of a foreign country in a certain field" - 15 - structure (introduction, all points of the plan, list of used literature and sources, conclusions, volume of content part at least 8 pages); - quality of sources of information and content of work; - level of independence and depth of meaningfulness; - level of familiarity with factual material, terminology and concepts; - the ability to analyze, compare, classify and summarize the material.
