Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of competencies in students of education:
general competences:
GC 1. Basic knowledge of humanities and law, fundamental, social and behavioral sciences to the extent necessary for mastering professional and professionally-oriented disciplines, understanding cause-and-effect relationships in the development of society and the ability to use them in professional activity and social interaction;
GC 2. Ability to apply and integrate knowledge and understanding of disciplines of other related fields;
GC 4. Ability to search and analyze information from various sources;
GC 6. Ability to apply knowledge and skills in practice;
GC 8. Ability to use modern information and communication technologies;
GC 9. Ability to write and speak in Ukrainian;
GC 11. Ability to work individually and in a team;
GC 13. The ability to act socially responsibly, to show civic consciousness, to be responsible for the quality of the work performed;
professional competences:
SC 2. Understanding the regularities of social processes, the peculiarities of their manifestation in Ukrainian society;

Learning outcomes: Use the conceptual apparatus of sociology in educational, research and other areas of professional activity.
Understand the history of sociology, its modern concepts and theories, the main problems.
Apply the provisions of sociological theories and concepts to the study of social change in Ukraine and the world.
Explain the patterns and features of development and functioning of social phenomena in the context of professional tasks.
Communicate fluently in state and foreign languages orally and in writing on professional matters.
Effectively perform various roles (including organizer, communicator, critic, idea generator, performer, etc.) in the team in the process of solving professional problems.
Be able to use information and communication technologies in the process of searching, collecting and analyzing sociological information.
Substantiate their own position, make and argue independent conclusions based on research and analysis of professional literature.
Be able to develop a program of sociological research.
Have the skills to collect social information using quantitative and qualitative methods.
Present the results of their own research to professionals and non-specialists.
Know and adhere to the ethical norms of the sociologist's professional activity.

Summary of the subject: The course "Pragmatic Communication" fits into the structure of educational disciplines of future sociologists, social workers, complements and develops them.
The proposed methodical complex contains: the thematic plan, course curriculum, plans for practical lessons, tasks for independent work of education seekers, and assessment questions. Recommended literature related to a specific topic is grouped after specifying and explaining its issues. Literature related to the entire course is additional, provided at the end of the program. The main types of control are: testing, writing essays, performing individual work on the course, credit control work.
The subject of the course is the process of information production by the party interested in it, the distribution of finished information products through the mass media for the purposeful formation of the desired public opinion, and the formation of the organization's image.
The scientific and methodological foundations of the educational discipline are modern concepts of the theory of information and communications (in particular, what concerns strategic communications, theories of human resource management, sociology and social psychology).
Опис: Pragmatic communication: essence, forms. The concept of "communication strategies" and "communication tactics". The first public speech. Choosing the topic of public speaking. Audience analysis and types of speeches. Organization of materials for public speaking. Presentation of the speech. Supporting materials for public speaking. Improving performance. Difficult situations during the performance. Public speech in a crisis. Conducting a group discussion.
Assessment methods and criteria: • oral interview, participation in discussions, presentation of the research project (40%)
• final control (control measure, exam): written-oral form (60%)
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Report - 4 b.
– quality of knowledge – its completeness, depth, flexibility, systematicity, strength;
- correct use of conceptual and terminological apparatus;
- speech culture (literacy, logic and sequence of presentation);
- the level of meaningfulness of knowledge - the ability to formulate independent evaluation judgments and theoretical conclusions.

- a scientifically based statement that reveals the essence of phenomena, processes, patterns.
Performance of interactive exercises or case analysis - 4 b.
- the sequence of solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case study;
- approaches to solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case study;
- the quality of solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case study;
- disclosure of cause-and-effect relationships between phenomena and processes during the solution of the situation proposed in the exercise or case.
final control (control measure, exam): written form (2 points)
- a short correct answer without additional arguments.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
