Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of this training course is for students to learn the most important provisions and theoretical schemes of quantitative and qualitative analysis in social work, to acquaint students with the theoretical and methodological aspects of conducting quantitative and qualitative social research, schemes for interpreting quantitative and qualitative data.

Ability to collect, analyze and summarize social information using sociological methods. 6. Ability to analyze and systematize the obtained results, formulate reasoned conclusions and recommendations. 8. The ability to observe the norms of professional ethics of a sociologist in his activities.
Learning outcomes: Use the conceptual apparatus of sociology in educational, research and other areas of professional activity. Understand the history of sociology, its modern concepts and theories, the main problems. Apply the provisions of sociological theories and concepts to the study of social change in Ukraine and the world. Explain the patterns and features of development and functioning of social phenomena in the context of professional tasks. Communicate fluently in state and foreign languages orally and in writing on professional matters. Effectively perform various roles (including organizer, communicator, critic, idea generator, performer, etc.) in the team in the process of solving professional problems. Be able to use information and communication technologies in the process of searching, collecting and analyzing sociological information. Substantiate their own position, make and argue independent conclusions based on research and analysis of professional literature. Be able to develop a program of sociological research. Have the skills to collect social information using quantitative and qualitative methods. Present the results of their own research to professionals and non-specialists. Know and adhere to the ethical norms of the sociologist's professional activity. Conceptual scientific and practical knowledge. Critical understanding of theories, principles, methods and concepts in the field of professional activity and / or training. Knowledge of theoretical and methodological principles of socio-engineering activities, including social forecasting, social planning and design. In-depth cognitive and practical skills, mastery and innovation at the level required to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of professional activity or training. Communicating information, ideas, problems, solutions, personal experience and arguments to specialists and non-specialists. Data collection, interpretation and application. Summary of the subject: The study of the discipline ""Quantitative and qualitative analysis of documents in sociology" involves the student's understanding of the role of projects in solving social problems of society. The study of the discipline involves the work of the student in lectures and the performance of practical tasks on each topic. The presentation of theoretical provisions and the implementation of practical tasks should be accompanied by close cooperation between the teacher and students, which significantly increases the level of efficiency of knowledge acquisition.
Опис: Theoretical and methodological principles of quantitative methods of social research. Measurements in social research. Selective method in sociological research. Procedures of conceptualization and operationalization. Questions as an empirical indicator. Review of methods of descriptive statistics. Review of methods of analytical statistics. General methodology of a research project in the system of "qualitative sociology". Individual interview in qualitative sociology. Group interviews in qualitative social research. Group interviews in qualitative social research. Concepts and types of qualitative analysis. The concept of analysis in qualitative social research. Stages of text analysis. Types of text analysis in qualitative social research: thematic analysis, analysis in terms of sound theory, discourse analysis, narrative analysis, interpretive analysis. Presentation of "qualitative" social research data.
Assessment methods and criteria: • oral interviews, participation in discussions, presentation of the study project • final control (verification event, exam), written-oral form
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Report - 4 b. – quality of knowledge – its completeness, depth, flexibility, systematicity, strength; - correct use of conceptual and terminological apparatus; - speech culture (literacy, logic and sequence of presentation); - the level of meaningfulness of knowledge - the ability to formulate independent evaluation judgments and theoretical conclusions. Supplement - 1 b. - a scientifically based statement that reveals the essence of phenomena, processes, patterns. Performance of interactive exercises or case analysis - 4 b. - the sequence of solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case study; - approaches to solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case study; - the quality of solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case study; - disclosure of cause-and-effect relationships between phenomena and processes during the solution of the situation proposed in the exercise or case. final control (control measure, exam): written form (2 points) - a short correct answer without additional arguments.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: Attestation of students in the discipline "Quantitative and qualitative analysis in social work" is carried out with the help of means of objective control of the degree of achievement of the final goals. 1. Attestation is carried out on the basis of the assessment of the level of competences achieved and the results of the bachelor's studies in the specialty "Social Security" using the methods of complex diagnostics: the semester assessment (SА) of the knowledge of the students is carried out based on the total number of points obtained according to the results of the current control (CС), and the implementation control measure (KM). 2. The information base, on the basis of which the means of objective control of the degree of achievement of the final goals of mastering the discipline are formed, are its subject matter, tasks for practical and independent works, a list of literature and methodical recommendations. 3. Attestation of the quality of mastering the discipline is carried out after the students complete the work program in its entirety.
