Мета вивчення дисципліни: mastering and implementation of competencies declared for this discipline; acquainting students with scientific knowledge about the history of the Internet; consideration and analysis of the latest information technologies from the point of view of various sciences; acquainting students with the specifics of using the latest information technologies in sociological science; arming future specialists with the knowledge, abilities and skills necessary for professional work; consideration of issues related to research in the field of the latest information technologies; acquainting students with the main problems and risks arising from the use of the latest information technologies in society.
Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of competencies in students of education: General competences: -Ability to use information and communication technologies. Professional competences: - Ability to collect, analyze and summarize social information using sociological methods. - Ability to analyze and systematize the obtained results, formulate reasoned conclusions and recommendations. - Ability to evaluate positive and negative prospects of using the latest information and communication technologies in professional activities.
Learning outcomes: Apply the provisions of sociological theories and concepts to the study of social change in Ukraine and the world. Explain the patterns and features of development and functioning of social phenomena in the context of professional tasks. Be able to use information and communication technologies in the process of searching, collecting and analyzing sociological information. Substantiate their own position, make and argue independent conclusions based on research and analysis of professional literature. Be able to develop a program of sociological research. Have the skills to collect social information using quantitative and qualitative methods. Present the results of their own research to professionals and non-specialists. Conceptual scientific and practical knowledge. Critical understanding of theories, principles, methods and concepts in the field of professional activity and / or training. In-depth cognitive and practical skills, mastery and innovation at the level required to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of professional activity or training. Communicating information, ideas, problems, solutions, personal experience and arguments to specialists and non-specialists. Data collection, interpretation and application. Management of complex technical or professional activities or projects. Forming judgments that take into account social, scientific and ethical aspects.

Summary of the subject: The study of the discipline "The modern information technologies in sociology" involves the student's understanding of the role of the modern information technologies in sociology, in the professional activity of a sociologist. The study of the discipline involves the student's work in lectures and performing laboratory work on course topics. The presentation of theoretical provisions and the performance of laboratory work should be accompanied by close cooperation between the teacher and students, which significantly increases the level of efficiency of knowledge acquisition.

Performance of interactive exercises or case analysis - 4 points. - the sequence of solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case study; - approaches to solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case study; - the quality of solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case study; - disclosure of cause-and-effect relationships between phenomena and processes during the solution of the situation proposed in the exercise or case. Reviewing, opposing - 2 points. – correctness, logic, reasonableness, integrity of knowledge; - the ability to argue one's own judgments and conclusions during a scientific discussion. Supplement - 1 point. - a scientifically based statement that reveals the essence of phenomena, processes, patterns.
