Summary of the subject: The study of this discipline involves the assimilation by students of the content of the most important ideas and practices that affect the regulation of the social problem of addictions in the community, motivational factors that lead to addiction, preventive programs.
The course has a practical orientation, so the training does not follow the traditional scheme of lectures and seminars. Each class is combined because it combines mini-lectures and practical exercises. Successful learning of the course, therefore, is impossible without the active participation of students in educational sessions.
Опис: Etiology of dependencies. Definition and epidemiology of addiction to psychoactive substances. Other types of dependencies Social theories and models of dependence .. Theoretical paradigms of psychological dependencies. Women and addiction to psychoactive substances. The impact of addiction to psychoactive substances on the family. Dependent communities. Models of work with clients addicted to psychoactive substances. Levels of prevention and intervention strategies. Features of preventive work with clients of different age groups, prevention in risk groups, prevention in the community. Helplessness. Methods of sociological research of dependencies.
Assessment methods and criteria: • oral interviews, participation in discussions and interactive exercises, presentation of the study project (50%)
• final control (verification event, exam), written form (50%)

assessment for the performance of mandatory current practical tasks -32 points;
evaluation for the performance of an individual research task - 8 points
Examination control - 60 points
