Мета вивчення дисципліни: Сonsists in the improvement of educational and scientific research skills by students of higher education, in particular, when performing and defending a bachelor's qualification thesis.
Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of the following competencies in students of education: General competences: ЗK 1 Ability to apply knowledge in practical situations. ЗK 10 Ability to generate new ideas (creativity). ЗK 13 Ability to plan and manage time. ЗK 14 Ability to identify problems and make informed decisions. Professional competences: СК 1 Ability to operate the basic categorical and conceptual apparatus of sociology. СК 5 Ability to independently plan, organize and conduct sociological research. СК 6 Ability to analyze and systematize the obtained results, formulate reasoned conclusions and recommendations.
Learning outcomes: RН 01. To use the conceptual apparatus of sociology in educational, research and other spheres of professional activity. РН02. To understand the history of the development of sociology, its modern concepts and theories, the main problems. РН03 Apply the provisions of sociological theories and concepts to the study of social changes in Ukraine and the world. RН04. To explain the regularities and peculiarities of the development and functioning of social phenomena in the context of professional tasks. RН05 Communicate freely in national and foreign/foreign languages orally and in writing on professional issues. РН07. To be able to use information and communication technologies in the process of searching, collecting and analyzing sociological information PH08. Justify one's own position, make and argue independent conclusions based on the results of research and analysis of professional literature. РН09. To be able to develop a program of sociological research. PH10. To have the skills of collecting social information using quantitative and qualitative methods. RН11. To present the results of own research for specialists and non-specialists. Knowledge 1. Conceptual scientific and practical knowledge. Knowledge 2. Critical understanding of theories, principles, methods and concepts in the field of professional activity and/or education. Mind 1. In-depth cognitive and practical abilities/skills, mastery and innovation at the level necessary for solving complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of professional activity or education. K2. Collection, interpretation and application of data. K3. Communication on professional issues, including in a foreign language, orally and in writing. AB1. Management of complex technical or professional activities or projects. AB3. Formation of judgments that take into account social, scientific and ethical aspects. AB4. Summary of the subject: The course "Logic of scientific research" provides students with the necessary knowledge and practical skills related to the planning and implementation of educational and scientific research in the field of sociology, in particular, the execution and defense of a bachelor's qualification thesis.
Опис: Educational research in sociology and academic integrity. The essence and organization of scientific research. Theoretical and methodological part of the bachelor thesis. Descriptive-analytical and socio-technical parts of the bachelor thesis. Basic sociological paradigms, their heuristic possibilities and limitations.
Assessment methods and criteria: • oral interviews, participation in discussions and interactive exercises, presentation of the study project (40%) • final control test, written form (60%)
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Report - 4 b. – quality of knowledge – its completeness, depth, flexibility, systematicity, strength; - correct use of conceptual and terminological apparatus; - speech culture (literacy, logic and sequence of presentation); - the level of meaningfulness of knowledge - the ability to formulate independent evaluation judgments and theoretical conclusions. Supplement - 1 b. - a scientifically based statement that reveals the essence of phenomena, processes, patterns. Performance of interactive exercises or case analysis - 4 b. - the sequence of solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case; - approaches to solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case study; - the quality of solving the situation proposed in the exercise or case study; - disclosure of cause-and-effect relationships between phenomena and processes during the solution of the situation proposed in the exercise or case.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
