Мета вивчення дисципліни: Students' assimilation of the general theoretical foundations of scientific country studies from the point of view of an interdisciplinary approach; the essence of the main concepts and research directions of modern country studies as a synthetic science; versatile typological approaches, general definitions of the most used terms and concepts.
Завдання: As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student should be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes: 1. To know and understand the nature of international relations and regional development, the evolution, the state of theoretical studies of international relations and world politics, as well as the nature and sources of state policies in the international arena and the activities of other participants in international relations. 2. To know the nature and character of interactions of individual countries and regions at the global, regional and local levels. 3. To know the principles, mechanisms and processes of ensuring the foreign policy of states, the interaction between foreign and domestic policies, the definition and implementation of national interests of states on the international arena, the process of forming and implementing foreign policy decisions.
Learning outcomes: Learning outcomes (LO) LO 2. the ability to demonstrate basic knowledge related to the current state of affairs and the environment of international relations (legal, economic, informational), socio-political and socio-cultural processes at the national and international levels; LO 3. the ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of highly specialized aspects of the historical development of the system of international relations and international order, current processes in the field of international relations, foreign policy and public communications, the place of Ukraine in modern integration processes in local, regional and global contexts; Skills S1. substantiate and explain current processes in the field of international relations and foreign policy at the global and regional levels; S10. apply creative abilities when interpreting events at the global, regional and local levels, taking into account the historical prerequisites for the emergence and development of specific situations in the field of international relations, Ukraine's interactions with other countries of the world; Communication (Com) Com 1. the ability to defend the national interests of Ukraine in communications, to be able to combine a humanistic, socially responsible and patriotic position; Com 2. the ability to use oral and written communication in Ukrainian to carry out professional activities; Autonomy and responsibility (AandV) AandV 2. the ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired and acquire new professional knowledge in accordance with the latest stages of the development of the theory of international relations, the formulation of new political science concepts and visions of the development of the international system;

Assessment methods and criteria: - Current control (40%): interrogations on seminars, homework execution. - Summary control (60%, exam): testing.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Speeches with a report on the topic of the seminar session (maximum score – 3 points)* Preparation and presentation with a report on the topic of the essay (maximum score – 4 points)**. Participation in the discussion of problematic issues on the topic of the seminar, supplementing the main speeches (maximum score – 2 points) ***
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
