Мета вивчення дисципліни: Ensuring the ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of international relations, public communications and regional studies or in the learning process, which involves the application of theories and methods of political science and the science of international relations and is characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions; acquisition by students of systematized, integral knowledge about international relations and world politics, their subjects; formation of scientifically based ideas about the historical development, role, place of subjects of international relations in world politics and their influence on world political processes; acquisition by students of knowledge about the goals, principles, tasks, main areas of activity of subjects of international relations; mechanisms of their functioning, typology, their role in global and regional political processes; assimilation of knowledge about the organizational and functional structure of the leading subjects of international relations and world politics. creating a holistic view of Ukraine's role in world politics.
Завдання: Integral competence: The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of international relations, public communication and regional studies, foreign policy activities of states, international interactions between states, international organizations and non-state actors, characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions and involves the application of theories of social sciences and special scientific methods of researching problems of international relations. General competences: • Ability to work in an international context. In addition: • Ability to learn and master modern knowledge. • Knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity. • The ability to realize one's rights and responsibilities as a member of society, to realize the values of civil society and the need for its sustainable development, the rule of law, the rights and freedoms of a person and a citizen of Ukraine. . Professional competences: 1 - Ability to distinguish signs and trends of development, understand the nature, dynamics, principles of organization of international relations, public communications and/or regional studies. 2 - Ability to analyze international processes in various contexts, including political, security, legal, economic, social, cultural and informational. 3 - Ability to evaluate the state and directions of research in international relations and world politics in political, economic, legal sciences, in interdisciplinary studies. 4 - Ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of international relations, foreign policy of states, public communications, regional studies. 5 - Ability to analyze the influence of the world economy, international law and domestic politics on the structure and dynamics of international relations and the foreign policy of states. 7 - Ability to analyze international integration processes in the world and on the European continent, and the place of Ukraine in them. 9 - The ability to apply knowledge of the characteristics of the development of countries and regions, the features and regularities of global processes and the place of individual states in them to solve complex specialized tasks and problems 11 - Ability to analyze the nature and evolution of international organizations, their place in the system of international relations, the main forms and perspectives of Ukraine's cooperation with them 13 - Ability to analyze the activities of international non-state actors and transnational relations. 15 - Ability to analyze features, development trends, forms, methods and tools of state regulation of regional and cross-border cooperation.
Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following program learning outcomes: • 01. To know and understand the nature of international relations and regional development, the evolution, the state of theoretical studies of international relations and world politics, as well as the nature and sources of the policies of states in the international arena and the activities of other participants in international relations. • 02 – Know and understand the nature and dynamics of international security, understand the features of its provision at the global, regional and national level, know the nature and approaches to solving international and internationalized conflicts. • 03 – Know the nature of international cooperation, the nature of interaction between international actors, the ratio of state and non-state actors in world politics. • 04 – Know the principles, mechanisms and processes of ensuring the foreign policy of states, the interaction between foreign and domestic policies, the definition and realization of the national interests of states in the international arena, the process of forming and implementing foreign policy decisions. • 06 – Know the nature and character of interactions of individual countries and regions at the global, regional and local levels. • 09 – Investigate problems of international relations, regional development, foreign policy, international communications, using modern political, economic and legal theories and concepts, scientific methods and interdisciplinary approaches, present research results, provide relevant recommendations. • 11 – Carry out an applied analysis of international relations, foreign policy of Ukraine and other states, international processes and the international situation in accordance with the set goals, prepare informative and analytical documents. • 1.1 – Know and understand the nature, dynamics of international processes in specific spheres of international relations, trends in their development. • 1.6 – Understand the geopolitical dimension of international relations, analyze modern political processes. • 1 – Ability to adapt to new conditions and make appropriate decisions; in addition • Apply your knowledge and skills to carry out professional activities in the field of foreign policy, diplomacy and public administration; • Ability to analytical and critical thinking.

Summary of the subject: The academic discipline "International relations and world politics" is an integral part of the cycle of mandatory disciplines of the specialty 291 "International relations, public communications and regional studies" of the first level of higher education (bachelor's), the purpose of which is to acquire systematized, integral knowledge about the peculiarities of the students formation and functioning of the international system; the formation of students' scientifically based ideas about the history of world politics, the methodology of its research, the relationship between the international system and the world political system, their influence on global political processes; creating a holistic view of the content, causes, stages of evolution, the current state of world politics.
