Мета вивчення дисципліни: Ensuring the ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of international relations, public communications and regional studies or in the learning process, which involves the application of theories and methods of political science and the science of international relations and is characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions, in particular the solution of theoretical and practical tasks in the field of diplomacy in the conditions of the transformation of the system of international relations and the latest challenges; acquisition by students of systematized, integral knowledge about specialized institutions as subjects of international cooperation; the formation of scientifically based ideas about the development, role, and place of the sphere of state regulation of international cooperation in the system of state administration; students' acquisition of knowledge about the goals, principles, tasks, main areas of activity of specialized institutes for state regulation of international cooperation; mechanisms and tools of their functioning and their role in strengthening the state's foreign policy; assimilation of knowledge about the organizational and functional structure of leading models and mechanisms for state regulation of international cooperation; creating a holistic view of the role of state regulation of international cooperation in the modern practice of international relations.
Завдання: Integral competence: The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of international relations, public communication and regional studies, foreign policy activities of states, international interactions between states, international organizations and non-state actors, characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions and involves the application of theories of social sciences and special scientific methods of researching problems of international relations. General competences: • ZK2 - Ability to preserve and multiply moral, cultural, scientific values and achievements of society on the basis of understanding the history and patterns of development of the subject area, its place in the general system and knowledge about nature and society, and in the development of society, techniques and technologies, use different types and forms of motor activity for active recreation and leading a healthy lifestyle. (ZK2). • ZK5 - Ability to work in an international context. Professional competences: • PC1 - Ability to distinguish signs and trends of development, understand the nature, dynamics, principles of organization of international relations, public communications and/or regional studies. • PC2 - Ability to analyze international processes in various contexts, including political, security, legal, economic, social, cultural and informational. • PC3 - Ability to assess the state and directions of research in international relations and world politics in political, economic, legal sciences, in interdisciplinary studies. • PC4 – Ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of international relations, foreign policy of states, public communications, regional research. • PC11 – Ability to analyze the nature and evolution of international organizations, their place in the system of international relations, the main forms and perspectives of Ukraine's cooperation with them. • PC12 – Ability to carry out communication and information-analytical activities in the field of international relations (in Ukrainian and foreign languages). • PC14 – Ability to analyze regional and cross-border cooperation, in particular, regional cooperation of the EU, as well as the development of international regional and cross-border cooperation of Ukraine. • PC15 – Ability to analyze features, development trends, forms, methods and tools of state regulation of regional and cross-border cooperation. • PCS2.1 – Understanding of regionalism as a development trend of modern international relations, knowledge of basic categories, latest theories, concepts of regionalism. • PCS2.2 – Ability to analyze specific facts, phenomena, processes and forecast trends in the field of interregional and cross-border cooperation. • PCS2.3 – Understanding of modern ethnopolitical processes and their impact on regional and cross-border cooperation of states. • PCS2.4 – Knowledge of the basics of European regional policy. • PCS2.5 – Understanding of the basics of state regional policy of Ukraine, features of its implementation and regulation mechanisms, decision-making technologies in the field of regional and cross-border cooperation. • PCS2.6 – Ability to understand and develop approaches to solving problems and tasks in the field of regional and cross-border cooperation of the Western Ukrainian region. • PCS2.7 – Ability to use acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of interregional and cross-border cooperation.
Learning outcomes: - Know the nature of international cooperation, the nature of interaction between international actors, the ratio of state and non-state actors in world politics. - Know the nature and mechanisms of international communications. - Conduct a professional discussion on issues of international relations, international communications, regional studies, foreign policy, argue their position, respect opponents and their views. - Know the job responsibilities of the diplomatic and consular staff, the rules of diplomatic protocol and etiquette used in professional communications. - Know the features, development trends, forms, methods and tools of state regulation of regional and cross-border cooperation, international cooperation of regions. - Know the nature, specifics, mechanisms of implementation of the latest forms of diplomatic activity, to analyze their effectiveness and efficiency in the practice of international relations. - Know the basic theoretical approaches to understanding regionalism, the main categories, concepts, technologies and methods of studying regionalism in the field of international relations. - Know modern ethno-political processes, their impact on regional and cross-border cooperation, be able to analyze the main trends in regional processes in modern international relations. - To know the peculiarities of development and mechanisms of regulation of regional and cross-border cooperation of the Western Ukrainian region. - Carry out an applied analysis of the development of regional and cross-border cooperation.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: Foreign Policy of Ukraine, Foreign Policy of Western Europe, International Relations and World Politics. Co-requisites: Regionalism and regional problems of modern international relations, EU Initiative "Eastern Partnership": opportunities for Ukraine.
Summary of the subject: The discipline "State regulation of international cooperation" is aimed at gaining knowledge about the formation and development of international cooperation, basic concepts and ideas on which it is based, its essential characteristics, goals, objectives and tools, as well as the ability to identify and realize the potential of various tools. and join the work of specialized units of public authorities or international organizations in this field.

Theoretical and methodological foundations of international cooperation research in modern political science. Theoretical principles of state regulation of international cooperation. Peculiarities of state regulation of international cooperation of Ukraine: institutional and legal dimension. Euroregional dimension of cooperation of Ukraine. Peculiarities of the development of cross-border cooperation of Ukraine. Features of the development of international cooperation in the field of law enforcement. Features of the development of international cooperation in the field of higher education. Peculiarities of implementation of material and technical assistance in Ukraine. Strategic partnership as a form of international cooperation. World experience of public administration and regulation of international cooperation.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control (40%): oral interviews, presentations at seminars, participation in discussions, business games, group classes, case studies, preparation of presentations on a given topic, student projects, essays, participation in discussions. Examination control (60%) - three-level testing.

The essay is prepared in accordance with the proposed topic and written in accordance with the plan developed by the student in compliance with the technical requirements for the preparation of the essay. The report on the subject of the abstract is complete, comprehensive, with a comprehensive coverage of the issues proposed in the plan, comprehensive, clear, logical, argumentative. - Additions to the main speeches of colleagues, participation in the discussion of problematic issues, asking questions to colleagues (max. point -2) ***. / The addition is essential, meaningful, logically argued, with substantiated theoretical propositions and conclusions; active participation in the discussion of problematic issues. Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100 – 88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their relationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87 – 80 points – (“very good”) is awarded for knowledge of the educational material of the component above the average level, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions asked (a small number of inaccuracies are possible), the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 79–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 61 points – (“mediocre”) is given for mediocre knowledge of the educational material of the component, poorly reasoned answers, weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 60-50 points - ("satisfactory") awarded for weak knowledge of the component's educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems.
