Мета вивчення дисципліни: Ensuring the ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of international relations, public communications and regional studies or in the learning process, which involves the application of theories and methods of political science and the science of international relations and is characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions; the formation of students' scientifically based ideas and systematized knowledge about the principles and main features of the foreign policy of the CEE and PEE countries
Завдання: - GC 5. Ability to work in an international context. - PC 6. Ability to identify features and trends, understand the nature, dynamics, principles of organization of international relations, public communications and / or regional studies.- Ability to apply the principles of diplomatic and consular service, diplomatic protocol and etiquette, the ability to conduct diplomatic and business correspondence (in Ukrainian and foreign languages). - PC 9. Ability to apply knowledge of the characteristics of countries and regions, features and patterns of global processes and the place of individual states in them to solve complex specialized problems and problems. - PC 11. Ability to analyze the nature and evolution of international organizations, their place in the system of international relations, the main forms and prospects of Ukraine's cooperation with them. - PC 15. Ability to analyze features, development trends, forms, methods and tools of state regulation of regional and cross-border cooperation
Learning outcomes: LO03. To know the nature of international cooperation, the nature of interaction between international actors, the ratio of governmental and non-governmental actors in world politics. LO04. To know the principles, mechanisms and processes of foreign policy, interaction between foreign and domestic policy, definition and implementation in the international arena of national interests, the process of formation and implementation of foreign policy decisions. LO06. To know the nature and peculiarities of interactions of individual countries and regions at the global, regional and local levels. LO09. To investigate the problems of international relations, regional development, foreign policy, international communications, using modern political, economic and legal theories and concepts, scientific methods and interdisciplinary approaches, present research results, provide appropriate recommendations LO19. To know the features, development trends, forms, methods and tools of state regulation of regional and cross-border cooperation, international cooperation of regions LOP 2.1 To know the main theoretical approaches to understanding regionalism, the main categories, concepts, technologies and methods of researching regionalism in the field of international relations; LOP 2.2 To research and analyze certain phenomena and processes in the field of interregional and cross-border cooperation; LOP 2.4 To know and understand the basics of modern European regional policy, priorities, models and tools of EU regional development, modern regional integration and disintegration processes

Summary of the subject: The course "Foreign policy of the CEE and CEE countries" is an integral part of the cycle of subjects of the specialty "International relations" of the first level of higher education (bachelor's), the purpose of which is to ensure the ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of international relations, public communications and regional studies or in the learning process, which involves the application of theories and methods of political science and the science of international relations; the formation of students' scientifically based ideas and systematized knowledge about the principles and main features of the foreign policy of the CEE and SEE countries, the goals, interests and means of the CEE and SEE countries as participants in international relations in the outlined historical period, the specifics of the foreign policy priorities of each CEE and SEE country in the system international relations of the post-bipolar world in the conditions of globalization.
Опис: CEE and SEE countries: general overview (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Greece). The situation of CEE and SEE countries in the early twentieth century. CEE and SEE countries in the First World War (formation of CEE and SEE countries as subjects of international relations). Foreign policy of CEE and SEE countries in the interwar period. (CEE and SEE countries in Versailles-Washington system of international relations). CEE and SEE countries during the Second World War. Foreign policy of CEE and SEE countries during the period of identification of development ways (1940-1950). CEE and SEE countries in Soviet foreign policy and resistance attempts (countries of CEE and SEE in Yalta-Potsdam system of international relations). The collapse of the bipolar world and the establishment of an independent foreign policy of CEE and SEE countries. CEE and SEE countries in international relations in the post-bipolar world under globalization: the choice of foreign policy priorities. The Russian-Ukrainian war and its impact on the foreign policy of the CEE and CEE countries.
Assessment methods and criteria: - Current control (40%), oral examination, answers on seminars, writing essays. - Final control (60%): examination (three-level testing).
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Speeches at the seminar class on the issues defined in the Plan of the seminar class (max. score – 3* -Preparation of an essay and a presentation (max. score – 4**). - Additions to the main speeches of colleagues, participation in the discussion of problematic issues, asking questions to colleagues (max. score - 2***).
