Завдання: Integral competence: The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of international relations, public communication and regional studies, foreign policy activities of states, international interactions between states, international organizations and non-state actors, characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions and involves the application of theories of social sciences and special scientific methods of researching problems of international relations Professional competences: • FK1 - Ability to distinguish signs and trends of development, understand the nature, dynamics, principles of organization of international relations, public communications and/or regional studies. • FC2 - Ability to analyze international processes in various contexts, including political, security, legal, economic, social, cultural and informational • FK9 - The ability to apply knowledge of the characteristics of the development of countries and regions, features and regularities of global processes and the place of individual states in them to solve complex specialized tasks and problems. FC13 - Ability to analyze the activities of international non-state actors and transnational relations. • FCS2.1 – understanding of regionalism as a development trend of modern international relations, knowledge of basic categories, latest theories, concepts of regionalism; • FCS2.2 – the ability to analyze specific facts, phenomena, processes and forecast trends in the field of interregional and cross-border cooperation; • FCS2.3 – understanding of modern ethnopolitical processes and their impact on regional and cross-border cooperation of states; • FCS2.4 – knowledge of the basics of European regional policy; • FCS2.5 – understanding of the basics of state regional policy of Ukraine, features of its implementation and regulation mechanisms, decision-making technologies in the field of regional and cross-border cooperation; • FCS2.6 - the ability to understand and develop approaches to solving problems and tasks in the field of regional and cross-border cooperation of the Western Ukrainian region;
Learning outcomes: • РН01 - To know and understand the nature of international relations and regional development, the evolution, the state of theoretical studies of international relations and world politics, as well as the nature and sources of state policy in the international arena and the activities of other participants in international relations. • РН02 - Know and understand the nature and dynamics of international security, understand the features of its provision at the global, regional and national level, know the nature and approaches to solving international and internationalized conflicts. • РН06 - Know the nature and character of interactions of individual countries and regions at the global, regional and local levels. •RN19 - Know the features, development trends, forms, methods and tools of state regulation of regional and cross-border cooperation, international cooperation of regions. 2.4. The results of professional training • RNVB 2.1 - Know the main theoretical approaches to understanding regionalism, the main categories, concepts, technologies and methods of researching regionalism in the field of international relations. • RNVB 2.6 - Know the specifics of development and regulatory mechanisms of regional and cross-border cooperation of the Western Ukrainian region. • RNVB 2.7 - Carry out an applied analysis of the development of regional and cross-border cooperation.

Summary of the subject: The educational discipline "Regionalism and regional problems of modern international relations" is an integral part of the cycle of disciplines for choosing the specialty "International relations, public communications and regional studies" of the first level of higher education (bachelor's), the purpose of which is to ensure the ability to solve complex specialized problems and practical problems in the field of international relations, public communications and regional studies or in the learning process, which involves the application of theories and methods of political science and the science of international relations and is characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions;
Опис: System of international relations and regional subsystems. Basic concepts of regional studies and regional policy. The main directions of a systematic approach to international relations. Types of international systems. Basic approaches to the interpretation of the term "region". Regionalism: basic approaches to interpretation. The concept of globalization and regionalization. Content of regional policy. Historical and cultural factors of region formation. The concept of regional subsystem. Leading regional subsystems: North America, Latin America, West Africa, North Africa, South and East Africa, Central Asia, South Asia, Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, Eurasia, Western Europe, Central and Eastern Europe. European regional subsystem. Conceptual principles of European regionalism. Origins, evolution and functioning of European regional institutions. The role of the European Union in the spread of regional processes. Features of implementation of EU regional cooperation policies with other regions. South America: features of the regional subsystem and interstate interaction. Formation and evolution of the pan-American system of international relations. The Middle East as a regional subsystem of international relations. South Asian regional subsystem of international relations. Asia-Pacific region in the system of international relations. Regional organizations in the post-Soviet space. African regional subsystem.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Current control: (40%): recitation, speeches during practical classes. • Final control: (60%): exam (tests and theoretical questions).
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: 3 points – The answer is complete, meaningful, logical, with a consistent presentation of the material, conclusions and generalizations are justified; the student demonstrates a deep understanding of the subject, independent and critical thinking, the ability to analyze, argue his position, logically and consistently present the material, make predictions and provide suggestions. The information is presented clearly, exhaustively, using an analytical approach and additional factual and conceptual material to the proposed question; the comparison of various approaches and interpretations was substantiated and carried out, a wide source base was used; examples are given; 2 points – The answer demonstrates the student's knowledge of a significant part of the program material; the facts are used correctly, but minor mistakes are made in their interpretation, there is a partial terminological incorrectness, small inaccuracies; the answer is incomplete, but competent, without significant errors, correct, meaningful, logical, with a consistent presentation of the material, the conclusions are justified; the student demonstrates understanding of the subject, independent and critical thinking, the ability to analyze, argue his position, logically and consistently present the material, make predictions and provide suggestions/. 1 point – The answer is incomplete, fragmentary, there is a partial terminological incorrectness, theoretical and factual inaccuracies. The presentation is inconsistent, without substantiated conclusions and generalizations.

Завдання: • ZK2- Ability to preserve and multiply moral, cultural, scientific values ??and achievements of society based on understanding the history and patterns of development of the subject area, its place in the general system and knowledge about nature and society, and in the development of society, techniques and technologies, use different types and forms of motor activity for active recreation and leading a healthy lifestyle. • ZK6- Ability to generate new ideas (creativity). • ZK7- Ability to apply knowledge in practical situations. • ZK8- Ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis. • ZK9- Ability to use information and communication technologies. Learning outcomes: • РН01 - To know and understand the nature of international relations and regional development, the evolution, the state of theoretical studies of international relations and world politics, as well as the nature and sources of state policy in the international arena and the activities of other participants in international relations. • РН06 - Know the nature and character of interactions of individual countries and regions at the global, regional and local levels. • RN07 - Carry out a description and analysis of the international situation, collect the necessary information about international and foreign policy events and processes from various sources. •РН08 - Collect, process and analyze large volumes of information about the state of international relations, foreign policy of Ukraine and other states, regional systems, international communications. • РН09 - Research the problems of international relations, regional development, foreign policy, international communications, using modern political, economic and legal theories and concepts, scientific methods and interdisciplinary approaches, present research results, provide relevant recommendations. • RN11 - Carry out an applied analysis of international relations, foreign policy of Ukraine and other states, international processes and the international situation in accordance with the set goals, prepare informative and analytical documents. • RN14 - Use modern digital technologies, specialized software, databases and information systems to solve complex specialized problems in the field of international relations, public communications and/or regional studies. The results of professional training • RNVB 2.2 - Research and analyze certain phenomena and processes in the field of interregional and cross-border cooperation. • RNVB 2.5 - Know the basics of state regional policy of Ukraine, features of its implementation and regulatory mechanisms, decision-making technologies in the field of regional and cross-border cooperation. • RNVB 2.7 - Carry out an applied analysis of the development of regional and cross-border cooperation.
