Мета вивчення дисципліни: The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of international relations, public communications and regional studies or in the learning process, which involves the application of theories and methods of political science and the science of international relations and is characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions. Formation of students' complex ideas about the global problems of our time; about the multidimensionality of the phenomenon of globalization and the processes that take place at the global level of international relations; about the state and development of the theoretical understanding of globalization.
Завдання: Integral competence: Ability to solve complex specialized problems and practical problems in the field of international relations, public communications and regional studies, foreign policy, international interactions between states, international organizations and non-governmentsl actors, characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions and the application of theories of social sciences and special scientific methods of studying the problems of international relations. General competences (GC): GC2. Ability to preserve and multiply moral, cultural, scientific values and achievements of society based on understanding the history and patterns of development of the subject area, its place in the general system and knowledge of nature and society, and in the development of society, technology and technology, use different types and forms of motor activities for active recreation and healthy living. GC5. Ability to work in an international context. Professional competencies of the specialty (PC): PC1. Ability to identify features and trends, understand the nature, dynamics, principles of organization of international relations, public communications and / or regional studies. PC2. Ability to analyze international processes in various contexts, including political, security, legal, economic, social, cultural and informational. PC7. Ability to analyze international integration processes in the world and on the European continent, and Ukraine's place in them. PC9. Ability to apply knowledge of the characteristics of countries and regions, features and patterns of global processes and the place of individual states in them to solve complex specialized problems and problems. PC13. Ability to analyze the activities of international non-state actors and transnational relations. PC15. Ability to analyze features, development trends, forms, methods and tools of state regulation of regional and cross-border cooperation. Professional competencies of professional orientation (PCO): PCO1.1. ability to use in practice the theoretical provisions for the analysis of specific areas of international relations and trends in their development; PCO1.2. ability to describe objects and analyze processes and specific situations in the field of international relations and foreign policy through the prism of historical and geopolitical approaches; PCO1.3. ability to use the acquired knowledge and skills to study the nature, sources and institutions of foreign policy of states, the peculiarities of their functioning and interactions on the basis of the comparative method; PCO1.5. ability to develop approaches to solving problems and tasks in the field of international relations and foreign policy (in particular, international and domestic conflicts); PCO1.6. ability to analytical perception of the geopolitical dimension of international relations; PCO1.7. understanding the specifics of the latest forms of diplomatic activity.
Learning outcomes: Learning outcomes (LO): LO01. To know and understand the nature of international relations and regional development, evolution, the state of theoretical studies of international relations and world politics, as well as the nature and sources of state policy in the international arena and the activities of other participants in international relations. LO02. To know and understand the nature and dynamics of international security, understand the features of its provision at the global, regional and national levels, know the nature and approaches to resolving international and international conflicts. LO04. To know the principles, mechanisms and processes of foreign policy, interaction between foreign and domestic policy, definition and implementation in the international arena of national interests, the process of formation and implementation of foreign policy decisions. LO06. To know the nature and peculiarities of interactions of individual countries and regions at the global, regional and local levels. Learning outcomes of professional direction: 1.1. to know and understand the nature, dynamics of international processes in specific spheres of international relations, trends in their development; 1.2. carry out a description and analysis of processes, specific situations in the field of international relations and foreign policy through the prism of historical and geopolitical approaches; 1.6. understand the geopolitical dimension of international relations, analyze modern political processes. Communication (Com): Com3. Ability to present and discuss the results obtained and transfer the acquired knowledge. Autonomy and responsibility (AandV): AandV 1. Ability to adapt to new conditions and make appropriate decisions.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: The History of International Relations Ideas, Concepts and Theories; International Relations and World Politics. Co-requisites: Geopolitics and geostrategy; Foreign policy of the countries of Western Europe.
Summary of the subject: The course examines the phenomenon of globalization and the global problems of our time, examines their theoretical and practical aspects. The curriculum of the discipline is aimed at familiarizing students with discourses, concepts and theories of globalization. Special attention is paid to the study of the analytical dimensions of globalization - historical, political, social, cultural, economic, technological, as well as the causes of the emergence, current state and prospects for solving global problems of humanity.

Political and ideological discourse of globalization. The political dimension of globalization: institutions and processes. Global management. The political economic dimension of globalization. Ethnopolitical dimension of globalization. The social dimension of globalization. Globalization in the field of culture. Religion and globalization. Anthropological dimension of globalization. Global problems of humanity and the process of globalization. Problems of sustainable development, environmental protection, resource provision and population. Problems of ensuring global security.
Assessment methods and criteria: current control (40%): recitation, speeches at seminars, review writing; final control (60%): exam (three-level testing).
