Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of the qualification work is to test the abilities of future international specialists to use all the knowledge and skills acquired in the process of studying at the university when solving specific practical or scientific tasks.
Завдання: The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of international relations, social communication and regional studies, foreign policy activities of states, international interactions between states, international organizations and non-state actors, characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions and involves the application of theories of social sciences and special scientific methods of researching problems of international relations. ZK6. Ability to generate new ideas (creativity). ZK8. Ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis. ZK9. Ability to use information and communication technologies. ZK10. Ability to communicate in the national language both orally and in writing. ZK11. Ability to communicate in a foreign language. ZK12. Ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources. ZK13. The ability to be critical and self-critical. ZK15. Ability to work both autonomously and in a team. FK3. The ability to assess the state and directions of research in international relations and world politics in political, economic, legal sciences, in interdisciplinary studies. FK4. The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of international relations, foreign policy of states, public communications, regional studies. FC5. The ability to analyze the influence of the world economy, international law and domestic politics on the structure and dynamics of international relations and the foreign policy of states. FC6. Ability to apply the principles of diplomatic and consular service, diplomatic protocol and etiquette, ability to conduct diplomatic and business correspondence (in Ukrainian and foreign languages). FC7. The ability to analyze international integration processes in the world and on the European continent, and the place of Ukraine in them. FC8. Awareness of the national interests of Ukraine in the international arena. FC9. The ability to apply knowledge of the characteristics of the development of countries and regions, features and regularities of global processes and the place of individual states in them to solve complex specialized tasks and problems. FC10. The ability to analyze the structure and dynamics of international public communications, to identify their impact on the international system, state and public institutions. FC11. The ability to analyze the nature and evolution of international organizations, their place in the system of international relations, the main forms and prospects of Ukraine's cooperation with them. FC14. Ability to analyze regional and cross-border cooperation, in particular, EU regional cooperation, as well as the development of international regional and cross-border cooperation of Ukraine. FC15. Ability to analyze features, development trends, forms, methods and tools of state regulation of regional and cross-border cooperation.
Learning outcomes: PH07. To carry out a description and analysis of the international situation, to collect from various sources the necessary information about international and foreign political events and processes. PH08. Collect, process and analyze large volumes of information about the state of international relations, foreign policy of Ukraine and other states, regional systems, international communications. PH09. Research the problems of international relations, regional development, foreign policy, international communications, using modern political, economic and legal theories and concepts, scientific methods and interdisciplinary approaches, present research results, provide relevant recommendations. PH10. Communicate freely in national and foreign languages at a professional level necessary for professional discussion, preparation of analytical and research documents. PH11. Carry out an applied analysis of international relations, foreign policy of Ukraine and other states, international processes and the international situation in accordance with the set goals, prepare informative and analytical documents. PH12. To have the skills of professional oral and written translation from/to foreign languages, in particular, from the professional subject of international cooperation, foreign policy, international communications, regional studies, bilateral and multilateral international projects. PH13. Conduct a professional discussion on issues of international relations, international communications, regional studies, foreign political activity, argue one's position, respect opponents and their points of view. PH14. Use modern digital technologies, specialized software, databases and information systems to solve complex specialized problems in the field of international relations, public communications and/or regional studies. PH15. Understand and apply current legislation, international regulatory documents and agreements, reference materials, current standards and technical conditions, etc., to solve complex specialized problems of international relations, public communications and regional studies. PH16. To understand and defend the national interests of Ukraine in international activities. PH17. To have the skills of self-determination of educational goals and learning, finding educational resources necessary for their achievement. PH19. To know the peculiarities, development trends, forms, methods and tools of state regulation of regional and cross-border cooperation, international cooperation of regions. pH 20. To be aware of the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired and acquire new professional knowledge in accordance with the latest stages of the development of the theory of international relations, the formulation of new political concepts and visions of the development of the international system. KOM3. the ability to freely use foreign languages in practical activities in the specialty, to carry out direct and reverse translation of documents from foreign languages; AiB3. the ability to take responsibility for the work performed and achieve the set goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: Basics of Scientific Research, Theory of International Relations, Political Science. Co-requisites: Practice According to Theme of Bachelor’s Thesis.
Summary of the subject: The qualification work is the student's final attestation work, which he performs in the final year of the master's degree. It gives a concentrated and sufficiently complete description of the student's knowledge and his ability to navigate in his professional field.
Опис: The defense of works takes place at an open meeting of the EC with the participation of at least half of its members, with the mandatory presence of the commission chairman. The composition of the EC is determined and approved in accordance with the procedure established by regulations. The EC meeting schedule for specific academic groups or students is formed in advance by the EC secretary, the corresponding order, dates and time of the defense are indicated on the notice board; the date of last protection is NOT transferred. The defense of the master's thesis is open and takes place in the presence of members of the Department of Political Science and International Relations.
Assessment methods and criteria: defense of Bachelor’s qualification thesis at the examination commission meeting, 100 points.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Master's qualification work is evaluated on a 4-point scale ("excellent", "good", "satisfactory" and "unsatisfactory") and a 100-point scale at the minimum level
