Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of the educational discipline is to form a system of knowledge about basic concepts of diplomatic protocol, ceremonial and etiquette at carried out official activities of states in international relations for with the help of relevant bodies of external communication.
Завдання: The study of an academic discipline involves the formation and development of students' competencies: Integral competence: Ability to solve complex specialized problems and practical problems in the field of international relations, public communications and regional studies, foreign policy, international interactions between states, international organizations and non-governmentsl actors, characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions and the application of theories of social sciences and special scientific methods of studying the problems of international relations. General Competences: GC4. Knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity. GC5. Ability to work in an international context. GC7. Ability to apply knowledge in practical situations. GC14. Ability for interpersonal interaction, respect for diversity and multiculturalism. Professional competencies of the specialty: PC1. Ability to identify features and trends, understand the nature, dynamics, principles of organization of international relations, public communications and/or regional studies. PC2. Ability to analyze international processes in various contexts, including political, security, legal, economic, social, cultural and informational. PC4. Ability to solve complex specialized problems and practical problems in the field of international relations, foreign policy, public communications, regional research. PC6. Ability to apply the principles of diplomatic and consular service, diplomatic protocol and etiquette, the ability to conduct diplomatic and business correspondence (in Ukrainian and foreign languages). PC12. Ability to carry out communication and information-analytical activities in the field of international relations (Ukrainian and foreign languages).
Learning outcomes: Learning Outcomes: LO03. To know the nature of international cooperation, the nature of interaction between international actors, the ratio of governmental and non-governmental actors in world politics. LO05. To know the nature and mechanisms of international communications. LO10. To speak fluently in the native and foreign languages at the professional level required for professional discussion, preparation of analytical and research documents. LO13. To conduct a professional discussion on the problems of international relations, international communications, regional studies, foreign policy, argue their position, respect opponents and their views. LO15. To understand and apply current legislation, international regulations and agreements, reference materials, current standards and specifications, etc. to solve complex specialized problems of international relations, public communications and regional studies. LO18. To know the job responsibilities of the diplomatic and consular staff, the rules of diplomatic protocol and etiquette used in professional communications. Communication: COM1. Ability to freely use foreign languages in practice in the specialty, to conduct direct and reverse translation of documents from foreign languages. Autonomy and responsibility: AandV3. Ability to act responsibly to the work performed, to make decisions independently, to achieve the goal of complying with the requirements of professional ethics.

Summary of the subject: To acquaint students with the set of political, social-management, organizational and legal relations that are formed in the process of formation, functioning and development of the apparatus of state authorities that regulate foreign policy and international relations, as well as the laws and trends of the development of diplomatic protocol and etiquette as a special social - the legal mechanism, the main tools and means of their activity, which determine the essence of the diplomat's and consul's work.

Business cards in diplomatic protocol and etiquette. Diplomatic reception (acceptance). Protocol and etiquette at the table. The appearance of a diplomat, an official. Good manners, or etiquette for everyday life.
Assessment methods and criteria: - Current control (100%): interrogations on seminars, homework execution, testing.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Oral (individual and face-to-face) and written (written answers to questions, solving tasks, etc.) surveys according to the plan of practical classes, observation of educational and cognitive activities, evaluation of activity, submitted proposals, original solutions, clarifications and definitions, writing and defending essays, presentations , discussion of problematic tasks, credit (three-level testing).
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
