Мета вивчення дисципліни: assimilation of knowledge and acquisition of skills necessary for carrying out scientific research and fruitful creative work by students of the specialty "Museology. Monumentology", of their successful application of modern methods of scientific research in the field of cultural heritage.
Завдання: - general competencies: ZK 1. Ability to make informed decisions. ZK 6. Ability to identify, pose and solve problems; - professional competences: FC 4. Implementation of research, scientific-pedagogical, managerial activities in the field of cultural heritage management and cultural tourism. FCS1.7. Ability to research and popularize historical and cultural heritage;
Learning outcomes: ЗН 2. To know and apply modern technologies of interpretation and actualization of historical, cultural and natural heritage. ZN 4. Know the content of the main discussions regarding the concept of "cultural heritage" in the modern world, focusing on issues of identity, ownership, commercialization, and minority rights.

Summary of the subject: One of the important elements of the educational process when obtaining the master's qualification level is the mastery of research methods that will help not only in future professional activities, but also when writing a master's thesis. The course "Research methods in the field of cultural heritage" is aimed at the assimilation of knowledge and the acquisition of skills necessary for carrying out scientific research and fruitful creative work by students of the specialty "Museology, monument studies" in the field of cultural heritage. The task of the course is to create conditions for the further successful application by students of modern methods of scientific research in their future professional activities.
Опис: To acquaint students with general information about science and research, the concept, functions and importance of science and research, the organization of science and research in Ukraine, scientific ethics, hygiene of mental work, methodology of scientific research, special and general methods of research. To learn to define the object and object of research, to choose a research topic, to substantiate its relevance, to set and solve the purpose and specific tasks of research, to search and work with historical literature and sources in libraries, archives, the Internet. Acquaintance with the method of writing a coursework or thesis.
Assessment methods and criteria: rating based on a 100-point system: current control - 40 points (polls. presentations, oral and written answers); final control - 60 points (exam).
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: 100-point rating by the system: current control – 40 points (40 for class answers, 5 for presentation); final control – 60 points (exam). Work in classes: Report - a maximum of 3 points. Criteria: - quality of knowledge – its completeness, depth, flexibility, systematicity, strength; - speech culture (literacy, logic and sequence of presentation); - the level of meaningfulness of knowledge - the ability to formulate independent evaluation judgments and theoretical conclusions. Reviewing, opposing in class - a maximum of 2 points (ability to oppose and review; ability to argue one's own judgments and conclusions during a scientific discussion). Presentation of the project on updating little-known objects of cultural heritage - 5 points. Criteria: – ability to analyze, compare, classify and summarize material; - general design of the visual series; - a creative approach to presenting information; - logicality and sequence of presentation of the material; - attracting a sufficient number of sources of information.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
