Learning outcomes: - psychological theories, concepts, schools and the idea of history of psychology;
- results of the research in psychological area, done by scientists of both past and our days;
- theoretical and methodological foundations of periodization of history of psychology;
- places and roles of base psychological theories in history of psychology, its influence on evolution of nowadays psychology;
- be able to distinguish between stages, subject and point of psychology and methods of mentality investigation;
- be able to characterize basic psychological ideas, schools, concepts and flows;
- categorical instrument of psychology.

- Experimental Psychology;
- Social Psychology.
Summary of the subject: Psychological thoughts in countries of ancient east. Development of psychological thoughts in ancient Egypt, China and India. Antique psychology. Period of in history of psychology before Socrates. Teaching about soul in feudal society. Psychological thought in the period of transition from feudalism to capitalism. Psychological thought in XVII century. Development of psychology in XVIII century. Psychology in first half of XIX century. Development of psychology as independent science. Development of psychology on the verge of XX century. Development of psychological branches. Objective conditions of psychology of development creation, its basic positions and research. Age psychology. Prerequisite of ethnical psychology appearance. Social psychology. Differential psychology. Creation and development of behaviorism and gestalt psychology. Deep psychology (psychoanalysis) and its development in XX century. Humanistic, genetic and cognitive psychology. Modern day psychology in Ukraine.
Assessment methods and criteria: - current control (40%): oral interviews, essays, tests;
- final control (60%, exam): maximum mark – 100.
