Learning outcomes: • to know the anatomical and physiological characteristics of the nervous system and her mechanisms of evolutionary development, integrative brain systems and their role in shaping the human psyche; • to know methods and prevention of the human nervous system; • be able to independently analyze psychic phenomena and the relationship between them, identify factors that determine the impact on higher nervous activity of man; • be able to characterize the behavior of the person according to her nervous system; diagnose abnormalities in various forms of higher nervous activity of human.
Required prior and related subjects: • General Psychology; • Introduction to the speciality; • Comparative psychology and psychophysiology.
Summary of the subject: Understanding the processes of phylogeny and ontogeny of the central nervous system and is based on an evolutionary approach. Reflex activity of the nervous system. Structure and function of the central and peripheral nervous system. Fundamentals of higher nervous activity. Anatomy and functional features of the senses. Methods and prevention of the human nervous system.
Assessment methods and criteria: • oral examination, rapid testing, quality of written practical problems; • final control (test): based on current estimates on a 100-point scale.
