Мета вивчення дисципліни: In order to successfully defend a student must know: the theoretical and methodological provisions of work on the subject of research according to the selected issues for the implementation of the relevant sections of the qualification work, including the results of the study of the actual state of the research problem; be able to: to interpret the conducted own empirical research on the topic of final qualifying work and writing recommendations or presenting a training program or the latest methodology; to carry out correct competent registration of work; to defend before the commission.
Завдання: INT. The ability to solve complex tasks and problems in the process of learning and professional activity in the field of psychology, which involves conducting research and/or implementing innovations and is characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions and requirements. ZK2. Ability to conduct research at an appropriate level. ZK3. Ability to generate new ideas (creativity). FC2. Ability to independently plan, organize and carry out psychological research with elements of scientific novelty and/or practical significance. FK3. Ability to choose and apply valid and reliable methods of scientific research and/or evidence-based methods and techniques of practical activity.
Learning outcomes: PRN1. Search, process and analyze professionally important knowledge from various sources using modern information and communication technologies. PRN2. Be able to organize and conduct psychological research using valid and reliable methods. PRN7. It is accessible and reasoned to present the results of research in written and oral forms, to participate in professional discussions. KOM 1. Conveying to specialists and non-specialists information, ideas, problems, solutions and own experience in the field of professional activity.
Required prior and related subjects: prerequisites: normative and variable disciplines of specialty 053 "Psychology" co-requisite: performance of qualifying work (master's, diploma work).
Summary of the subject: The main issues of methodology and organization of research activities. Concepts, principles, features of planning, methods, structure and technologies of theoretical and experimental research. The purpose of scientific research is the main element of the structure and an extremely important methodological tool of research. To correctly determine the purpose of the study, it is necessary to clearly determine: 1. The essence of the researched problem and its main contradictions, the basic problem questions of theoretical and (or) experimental character which are subject to the decision by scientific research. 2. Modern theoretical knowledge that can be used to explain the structure and laws of operation of the object under study. 3. The main ways and volumes of the necessary theoretical and (or) experimental substantiation of the subject of research. 4. Known in psychology (or leading science to the object of study) methods and tools for theoretical and (or) experimental study of the subject. It is not necessary to formulate the goal as "Research…", "Study…", because these words indicate the means to an end, not the goal itself. The hypothesis of a master's research is an assumption about the main results of research made on the basis of the analysis of scientific sources, own conclusions and observations.It is possible to indicate the dynamics, the development of certain indicators that characterize a particular phenomenon, to predict the conditions for the effectiveness of the results, to formulate their importance for the process of training in higher education. Elaboration of theoretical, normative and analytical materials, conducting own empirical research on the topic of final qualification work and its interpretation, writing recommendations or presenting a training program or the latest methodology, design of work; defense before the commission.

Assessment methods and criteria: The forms and methods of teaching: independent scientific and practical research, consultations The evaluation methods and criteria: registration of the manuscript of the qualification work on the topic of the master's qualification work (40%); defense of qualification work on the topic of master's qualification work (60%).
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
