Learning outcomes: In the discipline "Technical Mechanics" the theory of work, calculations, typical designs, general questions of designing of details of cars and assembly units of general purpose are studied. Calculations of parts are performed according to the criteria of operability to ensure the reliability and durability of parts and machines. At calculations and designing of details of cars acquaintance with standards, questions of unification of details and modern tendencies of development of cars is provided. The purpose of teaching the course is to give students knowledge of the calculation and basics of designing general purpose parts and to facilitate the study of special computational disciplines. As a result of the course work, the student must be able to independently formulate and solve engineering problems, based on a rational choice of calculation and technological schemes that take into account the latest advances in scientific and technological progress.
