Learning outcomes: Know - the basic requirements and features of the design of the tool, which is use on CNC machine tools and machine tools; - requirements to the auxiliary tool and features of its design; Be able - to pick up the material of the cutting plate for the specified material of the workpiece; - to pick up the necessary cutting tool to ensure the manufacture of this part on the machine; - to select devices of automatic replacement of the tool; - calculate the accuracy and stiffness of the auxiliary tool; - adjust the cutting tool to the size.

Cutting tool for CNC drill and milling machines. Auxiliary tool. Requirements for the auxiliary tool. Accuracy of the assembly tool for CNC machines. Devices for adjusting the tool to the size of the machine tool. Devices for automatic change of tools on machine tools.

Learning outcomes: To know the methods of calculation of special tools - a combined splines broach and worm milling cutter for the production of a splined joint (a shaft and a hole), gear-shaping cutter and worm gear milling cutter for cutting the toothed wheels according to the sizes; Be able - to pick up the material of the cutting plate for the specified material of the workpiece; - to design a cutting tool for the treatment of specified surfaces, ensuring their appropriate precision and quality.
