Learning outcomes: 1. Create control programs with the use of their design automation (for lathes and multi-process machines). 2. Develop and adjust control programs for CNC machines. 3. Develop adjustment CNC to perform processing for managing the program. 4. Implement control CNC machines.

Summary of the subject: Modern programming automation systems. Classification of the CNC. The structure and basic units of the CNC. CNC languages. Integrated CAD systems in the CAD / CAM / CAE structure (PowerMILL) Programming using Delcam CAD. Preparing a 3D model in POWERSHAPE. Introduction to POWERSHAPE, the program interface. Frame geometry, local coordinate systems. Surface simulation. Basics of solid state simulation in POWERSHAPE. Import and preparation of models for processing in POWERMILL Designing a management program in the POWERMILL system. Introduction to POWERMILL, interface and initial settings. Coordinate systems, models, tools, processing modes, workpieces, safe heights, tolerances and tolerances. Measuring models. Crops and crossings. Roofing strategies (sampling). Draft in roughing. Use the WiewMill tool to visualize the processing process.
Assessment methods and criteria: Protection of laboratory work. Test carried out on completion of the course. The written component is composed of three theoretical and one practical tasks. Oral component is made based on the results of written components for thorough evaluation of knowledge. Current control (lab work) - 20 points; Control examination - 80 points (written component - 60 points, the oral component - 20 points); Total - 100 points.
