Learning outcomes: • learn methodological bases of mathematical models describing thermal and thermomechanical processes in welding; • learn basic methods for solving differential equations in partial derivatives that describe welding processes; • master basic clearing and settlement and experimental methods of determining temperature fields during welding; welding stresses and strains; • learn to use the methods of control of welding stresses and deformations in the development of new effective technologies of welded structures and their diagnosis.

Summary of the subject: Mathematical and computational models of welding. The working body. Sources of heat. Mathematical model of action instant heat sources, continuous sources, mobile sources of constant power when heated with fast and powerful heat sources. Mathematical modeling of processes when welding dissimilar metals. Mathematical modeling of processes in the case of plasma cutting. Mathematical modeling of processes in the case of friction welding. Mathematical modeling of processes in the case of heating gas burner and local heat treatment of welded joints in the case of many passing welding. Mathematical modeling of processes in the case of welding - soldering. Mathematical modeling of processes in the case gas-heated, in the case of the processes associated with phase transitions. Simulation of residual stresses in thin plates with straight and circular seams. Mathematical modeling using settlement-experimental method for determining residual welding stresses. Formulation of inverse problems and methods of their solution.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control, rapid control (100% protection of laboratory work).
