Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of teaching the discipline is the formation of students' ability to design the organization of the movement of vehicles in traffic flows at intersections, public spaces, sections of street and road networks, and to be able to solve problems related to the optimization of new flow management schemes for the improvement of transport systems by modeling the movement of traffic flows.
Завдання: 2. Здатність розробляти проекти та управляти ними (ЗК5). 3. Здатність генерувати нові ідеї (креативність) (ЗК8). Фахові: 1. Здатність до визначення та застосування перспективних напрямків моделювання транспортних процесів (ФК2). 2. Здатність використовувати спеціалізоване програмне забезпечення для розв’язання складних задач у сфері транспортних систем та технологій (ФК11). 3. Уміння аналізувати пропускну здатність транспортних вузлів, затримки, швидкість руху та інші параметри залежно від типу перетину доріг, при зміні схем організації дорожнього руху, оптимізації роботи світлофорних об’єктів, взаємодії пішоходів і транспортних засобів (ФКС1.2). 4. Здатність моделювати транспортні потоки за допомогою спеціалізованих та прикладних програм (ФКС1.3). General: 1. Ability to work in an international context (ZK1). 2. The ability to identify and apply promising directions for modeling transport processes (FC2). 2. The ability to use specialized software to solve complex problems in the field of transport systems and technologies (FC11). 3. The ability to analyze the capacity of transport nodes, delays, speed of movement and other parameters depending on the type of road crossing, when changing traffic organization schemes, optimizing the operation of traffic lights, interaction of pedestrians and vehicles (FCS1.2). 4. Ability to simulate traffic flows using specialized and applied programs (FCS1.3).
Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student acquires the ability to demonstrate the following learning outcomes: 1. Assess the traffic conditions on the section of the street and road network and the main traffic indicators on them; 2. Possess the methodology of modeling traffic flows, methods of their mathematical research using the PTV VISSIM software product; 3. Be able to determine patterns and patterns of changes in the main parameters of transport flows; 4. To design and analyze traffic organization schemes on the street and road network of cities, taking into account changes in the main traffic indicators; 5. Use simulation models of traffic flows to improve various options for organizing traffic on the street-road network.

Summary of the subject: During the study of this educational discipline, the student acquires competencies and practical skills of micro-modeling in the PTV VISSIM environment based on the change of their main indicators over time. Analytical methods of analysis of the main traffic indicators are used, on the basis of which simulation modeling of the movement of traffic flows on the street and road network is carried out. Simulation modeling methods are used to determine the relationship between the main parameters of the traffic flow and further forecasting the dynamics of their change under different traffic conditions. Such skills and abilities make it possible to design the organization of traffic based on simulation modeling under various schemes of traffic organization on the street-road network.

Assessment methods and criteria: Students' knowledge is assessed using the following methods: 1. Protection of reports on laboratory work in written form by conducting a control event on the subject of the work in the form of a test; 2. Conducting a written exam based on the results of studying the discipline, which consists of three-level theoretical tasks; 3. Conducting the oral component based on the results of the written exam.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Protection of reports for completed laboratory works - 30 points; Examination control - 60 points; Oral component - 10 points.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their relationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) is given for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
