Завдання: As a result of studying the academic discipline "Pedagogy and teaching methods in higher education", the student should be able to demonstrate the following program competencies
general:
ZK 1. Ability to write and speak in Ukrainian and English (or other) languages.
ZK 3. The ability to search and analyze information from various sources, effectively use in practice various theories in the field of education and administration
ZK 8. Entrepreneurial spirit, initiative due to the ability to effectively use in practice various theories in the management of science and in the field of business administration.
ZK 12. Ability to adapt and work in new situations, creativity, ability to system thinking
Learning outcomes: modern trends and educational technologies in the system of higher education, knowledge and understanding of didactic approaches to the organizational and methodological support of the main organizational forms of education and control of knowledge in higher education, knowledge of the peculiarities organization of educational work in higher education and the role and functions of the curator of an academic group, mastery of the main categories of conducting pedagogical research and processing and design of the results of a pedagogical experiment.
(SKILLS) Choose and justify the choice of a learning method to obtain the final goal of learning, determine the didactic, educational and developmental goal of training sessions of all organizational forms of training and draw up a didactic project of a lecture, practical and laboratory session, form control materials for current and semester control students' knowledge, search for information in various sources to solve the problems of teaching methods in higher education, perform elements of pedagogical research and apply their results in practice.

Summary of the subject: The educational discipline "Pedagogy and teaching methods in higher education" involves the study of the basics of higher education pedagogy and the peculiarities of the organization of the educational process in higher education, scientific and methodological approaches to ensuring the teaching and learning process, modern innovative methods of conducting the main organizational forms of the educational process, didactic approaches to the formation of skills and ensuring a high-quality educational process in higher education in accordance with modern educational standards and current legislation in the field of education. Issues of peculiarities of modern higher school pedagogy, the structure of the pedagogical process, regulatory and legal support of higher education, the content of education, organizational and methodological support of the educational process, organization and conduct of educational work in modern higher education institutions are considered.
Опис: TOPIC 1. Higher school pedagogy as a science. Historical aspects of development, main categories and tasks of higher school pedagogy. The education system in Ukraine and the world.
SUBJECT 2. Regulatory and legal provision of educational activities in higher education. State standards of education and their functions, purpose and application.
TOPIC 3. Basics of higher school didactics. Categories and basic principles. The structure and features of the educational process in higher education. The purpose, content and organization of the educational process in higher education institutions.
TOPIC 4. Organizational forms of education in higher education. Preparation and conduct of lectures: purpose, types of lectures, organizational and methodological support for preparation and conduct of lecture classes
TOPIC 5. Organizational forms of education in higher education. Preparation and conduct of practical (seminar) and laboratory classes in higher education: purpose, types of seminar, practical and laboratory classes, organizational and methodological support for preparation and conduct of seminar, practical and laboratory classes
TOPIC 6. Diagnostics of the quality of training results. Pedagogical control, purpose, functions, types, didactic support.
TOPIC 7. The personality of a teacher of a higher education institution. Requirements for a teacher of a modern ZVO. Pedagogical and acting skills, professional development of a teacher of higher education institutions.
TOPIC 8. Educational work in a higher education institution. The role and functions of the curator of the academic group.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control of practical classes is carried out in order to identify the readiness for classes of a student of higher education of the second educational level of a master in the following forms:
-frontal standardized survey using cards, tests for 5–10 minutes;
-individual verification of the performance of practical works;
-evaluation of the higher education student's activity during classes, submitted proposals, original solutions, clarifications and definitions, additions to previous answers, etc.
Control questions are divided into:
-issues of a reproductive nature - determination of practical significance;
-test tasks - choose the correct answers;
-problematic tasks – creating problematic situations;
-situational tasks – to determine the answer according to a certain situation;
The final control is carried out based on the results of the current control, the performance of an individual creative task.

Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
