Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of teaching the discipline is the formation of the necessary competencies in students, their acquisition of knowledge, skills and abilities to solve typical problems and practical problems of modern microprocessor technology during professional activities in the field of electric power, electrical engineering and electromechanics or in the process of learning, to know the basic principles of construction and operation individual nodes of microprocessor systems, to be oriented in the perspectives of hardware and software development, to use such systems as means of automatic control, which involves knowledge of the principles of construction and operation of various microprocessor systems and their nodes, features of using various interfaces and rules for building industrial networks, means of interaction of microprocessor systems with a control object and a person, application of typical nodes of microprocessor systems.
Завдання: general competences: • the ability to apply knowledge of calculation and selection of elements of microprocessor systems in practice (ZK5); • have research skills in the calculation and analysis of microprocessor systems (ZK7); • the ability to solve the tasks and make appropriate decisions on the selection and calculation of the parameters of microprocessor systems (ZK9); • the potential for further education and mastering of modern methods of calculations and analysis of parameters of microprocessor systems, the main modern directions of designing the development and reconstruction of microprocessor systems (ZK15); professional competences: • mastering the skills of working with a computer for programming specialized microprocessor control systems and organizing the exchange between a computer and a specialized system (SK4); • knowledge of modern microprocessor technologies used in the production process and the basics of building control systems (SK6); • the ability to integrate various sensors and control devices into typical microprocessor systems (SK7); • the ability to apply knowledge about microprocessor systems and practical skills in the construction and operation of typical universal and specialized microprocessor systems (SK10); • the ability to use knowledge and skills when designing and calculating the parameters of microprocessor systems, when choosing typical microprocessor systems, taking into account aspects of debugging and integration with existing systems and objects (SK14); • the ability to argue the choice of the principle scheme and element base of the microprocessor system, critically evaluate the arguments for and against the obtained result and defend the decisions made (SK15).
Learning outcomes: knowledge of purpose, construction, operation principles and characteristics of microprocessor systems and their main units; • knowledge of power and microprocessor sensors coordination and converters features; • knowledge of main principles of the information exchange in microprocessor systems; • ability to provide the interaction between microprocessor systems and the object or the operator, and to manage information input-output; • ability to create the main operation of microprocessor systems; • knowledge of basic computing variables in electrical engineering; • ability to create a microprocessor system according to required parameters.

Опис: The history of the development of microprocessors and their role in modern converting technology. microprocessor and its structure. basic terminology Calculation systems used in microprocessor systems Structure and types of microprocessor commands. Ways of addressing and interrupting work in a microprocessor Fundamentals of microprocessor programming. Organization of interaction between the microprocessor and the control object. Introduction to interfaces Organization of memory. External storage devices. Peripheral devices for communication between a person and a microprocessor system.
Assessment methods and criteria: Points and their corresponding evaluations of the actual level of achievement of program learning outcomes are formed based on the results of current and semester controls by taking into account the assessment of the completeness and quality of the performance of mandatory individual works, the results of testing conducted with the help of an electronic educational and methodological complex placed in a virtual learning environment Lviv Polytechnic National University, and an oral survey.

Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
