• the ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems related to the operation of electrical systems and networks, the electrical part of stations and substations, and high-voltage equipment (PC3);
• the ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems related to problems of metrology, electrical measurements, operation of automatic control devices, relay protection and automation (PC4);
• the ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems related to the problems of production, transmission and distribution of electric energy (PC6);
• the ability to perform professional duties in compliance with the requirements of the rules of safety, labor protection, industrial sanitation and environmental protection (PC8);
• awareness of the need to constantly expand one's own knowledge about new technologies in electric power, electrical engineering and electromechanics (PC10);

• know the general principles of formation of digital models for solving problems of electric power;
• be able to work on a personal computer running the Windows operating system;
• be able to work with specialized software packages for solving power problems;
• be able to develop and implement algorithms for electrical calculations using specialized applications.

Summary of the subject: General information about applied software in the power industry is presented. Separate software packages for solving power engineering problems are considered, namely automated design systems, software tools for calculating modes of power systems, analysis of emergency processes. Features of the formation of digital models for solving problems in the power industry are given.
Опис: Personal computer software. Purpose and classification of application software. AutoCAD computer-aided design system. Dialog automated complex of analysis of DAKAR modes. Software complex REC of the analysis of processes in electric networks, systems of their protection and automatic equipment. GRANOS program of analysis of oscillograms of emergency processes.
Assessment methods and criteria: Defense of reports on laboratory work, assessment of work in practical classes, control work, credit.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: • written reports on laboratory work, oral examination, job control (100%)
• final control - test, the results of this monitoring
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
