Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of studying the discipline is the formation of the necessary competencies in students, their acquisition of knowledge, skills and abilities to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems of determining the actual level of reliability of electrical systems and networks, methods of reliability analysis and methods of its provision, which involves the use of theoretical electrical engineering, methods, mathematical models and applied software, oriented to the power industry.
Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of competencies in students of education: general competences: • Ability to think abstractly, analyze and synthesize (GC 1). • Ability to apply knowledge in practical situations (GC 2). • Ability to communicate in the national language both orally and in writing (GC 3). • Ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources (GC 5). • The ability to identify, pose and solve problems (GC 6). • Ability to work in a team (GC 7). • Ability to work autonomously (GC 8). professional competences: • Ability to solve practical problems involving the methods of mathematics, physics and electrical engineering (PC 2). • The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems related to the operation of electrical systems and networks, the electrical part of stations and substations, and high-voltage equipment (PC 3). • Ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems related to problems of metrology, electrical measurements, operation of automatic control devices, relay protection and automation (PC 4). • The ability to solve complex specialized problems and practical problems related to the problems of production, transmission and distribution of electric energy (PC 6). • The ability to develop projects of electric power, electrotechnical and electromechanical equipment in compliance with the requirements of legislation, standards and specifications (PC 7). • Awareness of the need to improve the efficiency of electric power, electrotechnical and electromechanical equipment (PC 9). • Awareness of the need to constantly expand one's own knowledge about new technologies in electric power, electrical engineering and electromechanics (PC 10). • Ability to promptly take effective measures in emergency (emergency) situations in electric power and electromechanical systems (PC 11). • Ability to identify, classify and describe the operation of electrical systems and networks by using analytical methods and modeling methods (PCS 1); • the ability to design electrical systems and networks and their elements, taking into account all aspects of the task, including creation, adjustment, operation, maintenance and disposal (PCS 2); • the ability to argue the choice of methods for solving specialized problems, critically evaluate the obtained results and defend the decisions made (PCS 3); • the ability to investigate the problem and determine the limitations caused by the problems of sustainable development, the impact on the environment and the safety of life (PCS 4).
Learning outcomes: • knowledge of determining reliability of power systems; their major subsystems and their relationship with the appropriate types of reliability; a list of indicators of reliability of electrical installations; methods of analysis, valuation principles and how to ensure the reliability of electrical networks. • ability to use the knowledge and skills to calculate and research reliability in electric power, electrical and electromechanical systems and their components; • ability to identify, classify and describe the reliability of systems and components using analytical methods and modeling techniques; • ability to argue the choice of methods for solving special problems with reliability study, critically evaluate the results and defend decisions.

Summary of the subject: Fundamentals of reliability theory in power engineering. Causes and consequences of of consumer power supply disturbances. Analysis, valuation and ensure the reliability of electrical installations both non-renewable and renewable as objects. Methods of mathematical statistics in reliability analysis problems. Analysis of structural reliability for simple and complex electric grids. Reliability analysis of distribution schemes of power plants and substations. Analysis of balance reliability concentrated and non-concentrated power systems. Principles of analysis of state and transitional reliability of bulk power systems.
Опис: Basic concepts of the theory of reliability in electric power. Causes and consequences of power supply violations to consumers. General principles of analysis and ensuring the reliability of electric power systems. Reliability models of electrical installations as non-renewable objects. Reliability models of electrical installations as renewable objects. Methods of mathematical statistics in problems of reliability analysis. Initial conditions of electrical network reliability analysis. Analysis of structural reliability of simple schemes of electrical networks. Analysis of structural reliability of complex circuits of electrical networks. Reliability analysis of switchgear schemes of electrical stations and substations Analysis of the balance reliability of the concentrated power system. Analysis of the balance reliability of the non-concentrated power system and electric power association. Principles of analysis of mode and transient reliability of energy associations. Ensuring the sustainability, survivability and mode controllability of energy associations.
Assessment methods and criteria: • written reports on course work, oral questioning (25%) • final control - exam: written and oral form (75%)
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Exam. The maximum score is 100 points. Current control (CC) 25, including: Control of knowledge 15; Implementation and protection of CGW (CCW) 10. Examination control 75, including: Written component 65; Oral component 10.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
