1) Ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems related to problems of metrology, electrical measurements, operation of automatic control devices, relay protection and automation.
2) Ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems related to production problems.
3) Ability to perform professional duties in compliance with the requirements of the rules of safety, occupational health, industrial sanitation and environmental protection.
4) Awareness of the need to constantly expand one's own knowledge about new technologies in electric power, electrical engineering and electromechanics.
5) Ability to promptly take effective measures in emergency (emergency) situations in electric power and electromechanical systems.
6) the ability to identify, classify and describe the operation of electromechatronic devices, electromechanical systems and their components by using analytical methods and modeling methods.
7) the ability to investigate the problem and determine the limitations caused by the problems of sustainable development, the impact on the environment and the safety of life.

• knowledge of modern technological processes and systems of technological preproduction
• ability to use the knowledge and skills for a calculation, research, choice, introduction, repair, and design of automation equipment for the electromechanical systems and their components.

Summary of the subject: Automated control systems (ACS), their structure and hierarchy. Programmable logical controller (PLC), as instruments of automation. Software for automated control systems of technological processes. Programming of PLC by the languages of Ladder Diagram and FBD (functional block diagrams). An information exchange in an automated control systems of technological processes, the use of information networks. The means of a human-machine interface in ACS.
Опис: Automated control systems (ACS), their structure and hierarchy.
Equipment used in automatic control systems (programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial computers (PCs), human-machine interface devices, sensors), a brief overview.
Programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as automation tools. PLC types. Overview of modern PLCs and their capabilities. Programmable logic controllers of the Zelio, Modicon series. The principle of PLC operation. Multitasking in PLC.
ACS software. Programming of controllers in Ladder Diagram (the language of relay-contact schemes) and Functional Block Diagram (the language of functional blocks).
Information support of ACS TP. Definition and requirements for information support. Sources of information in ACS TP. Control and measuring devices. Overview and characteristics of sensors. Ways of exchanging information between ACS equipment. Evolution of means of information exchange.
Industrial information networks.
Means of human-machine interface in ACS. Purpose of HMI means, their classification, varieties. Operator panels: purpose, brief description, principle of operation. General concepts of supervisory control systems (SCADA).
Assessment methods and criteria: • written reports on laboratory works, oral questioning (30%)
• final control (control measure - exam): written and oral form (70%)
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: The method of distributing and awarding points to students of higher education is regulated by the Regulations on the Organization of the Educational Process at Lviv Polytechnic National University.
The criteria for assigning points and grades reflect the actual number of points received by the student, which is converted into a state assessment according to the established criteria, which show the results of training, acquired skills, etc.
