Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of studying the discipline "Special Sections of Electromechanotronics" is for students to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge of special types and modes of operation of electric machines and transformers. By studying this discipline, future specialists will consolidate and deepen their knowledge obtained in the general course "Electrical machines" and "Special electromechanotronic converters".
Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of competences in the students of education. General competences: - GC1. Ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis; - GC2. Ability to apply knowledge in practical situations; - GC5. Ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources; - GC6. Ability to identify, pose and solve problems; - GC7. Ability to work in a team; - GC8. Ability to work autonomously; Professional competences: - PC2. Ability to solve practical problems involving the methods of mathematics, physics and electrical engineering; - PC5. The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems related to the operation of electrical machines and devices. - PC9. Awareness of the need to increase the efficiency of electric power, electrotechnical and electromechanical equipment; - PC10. Awareness of the need to constantly expand one's own knowledge about new technologies in electric power, electrical engineering and electromechanics; - PCS1. Ability to identify, classify and describe the operation of electromechatronic devices and transducers by using analytical and modeling methods - PCS3. The ability to argue the choice of methods for solving specialized problems, critically evaluate the obtained results and defend the decisions made.
Learning outcomes: • know the principle and construction, physical phenomenon that take a place in specific modes, and their main characteristics of electric machines and transformers specific types; • be able to analyze and describe the steady state and transient processes in them.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: • Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering chapter 1 and 2; • Further mathematic chapter 1 and 2; • Electric machines; • Physics chapter 1 and 2.
Summary of the subject: Theoretical and practical aspects of special modes of operation of classic types of electric machines and electromechanotronic converters, as well as features of the structure and operation of their special types are considered. The peculiarities of processes and phenomena that occur and arise during the operation of electromechanotronic converters, in particular transient processes, are analyzed.
Опис: The main links between the technical and economic characteristics of electrical machines. The complex and mixed rotor’s winding of DC machines. Leveling a combination of rotor windings of DC machines. Features of armature reaction in the DC generator and motor. Switching features of DC machines and basic ways of its improvement. Self-induction EMF and external field EMF. Cross-field rotary amplifier (amplidyn). Unipolar DC machine. Magneto hydro-dynamic DC machine. Features of no-load operation in three-phase transformers. The work of three-phase transformers with asymmetrical load. Transients when switched and short circuit transformers. Three-winding transformers. Tooth-harmonics in AC machines. Options AC machines in steady state and their experimental determination. The impact of higher space harmonics of MMF on electromagnetic torque of induction motor. Multistage schemes of speed control in induction motor. Frequency speed regulation of induction motors. Induction machine in generator mode. Dual power induction machine. Start of single-phase induction motor using a squirrel windings on the stator. Parameter’s effect on the static stability of synchronous machines. Synchronous machine operation in tandem with power supply network at a constant excitation current or moment. Uniaxial effect of asynchronous start in motion synchronous motors. Asynchronized synchronous motor. Transients in synchronous machines: three-phase short circuit. AC commutator motors. Three-phase AC collector motor with parallel excitation. Rotary converter. Single-phase commutator motors.
Assessment methods and criteria: The final control of knowledge is carried out in the form of a differentiated assessment. The final semester grade is issued based on the results of the current control on a 100-point scale. Current control is carried out in the form of an oral survey at the beginning of classes, based on the results of the defense of reports from laboratory work, based on the results of performing control work, as well as based on the results of tests or written control measures.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: • Defense of reports on laboratory work, oral survey, control work (20%); • Control work (20%); • Current control (tests) (60%).
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
