Learning outcomes: • ability to create computer models of power energy, electrotechnical and electromechanical dynamical systems using modern mathematical applications; • ability to choose the complexity level of the mathematical model according to given problem; • ability to research the behavior of typical electromechanical systems by means of computer simulation; • capability to use modern informational and communicational technologies, including Mathcad and MATLAB applications, for solving problems of analysis of controlled electromechanical systems’ dynamic.

Summary of the subject: Mathematical models of AC and DC electrical machines, semiconductor converters, mechanical units of the drive, regulators. Electromechanical elements models implementation. Mathematical models of closed- and open-looped electric drive systems. Analytical and numerical methods for solving problems of electromechanical systems dynamics.
Assessment methods and criteria: • oral questioning, control work (40%) • final control (control measure – exam): written and oral form (60%)
