Learning outcomes: • ability to collect, analyze, process, systematize scientific and technical information, summarize domestic and foreign experience in the development of electrical networks, study their modes, design of substations of electrical networks using standard and reference materials, modern software;
• the ability to solve the problems of designing schemes for the development of electrical networks, substations of electrical networks using modern methods, techniques and principles and information technologies in a computerized workplace;
• ability to use state-of-the-art application software to solve design problems, study power grid modes, calculate short-circuit currents;
• ability to analyze the design decisions received;
• the ability to perform a feasibility study for choosing the best design solution.
Required prior and related subjects: • All disciplines of the bachelor's level curriculum
Summary of the subject: Formation of possible schemes for the development of the electric grid. Choice of overhead lines and substation connection schemes. Feasibility study of optimal network development scheme. Selection of substation transformers. Development of the main scheme of electrical connections of the substation. Design currents calculation. Choice of power electrical equipment of the designed substation. Development of safety measures. Conclusions. Graphic part of the work.
Assessment methods and criteria: • final control (control measure - qualifying study for Bachelor's Degree): written form (100%).
