Summary of the subject: The main processes that are inherent in the equipment of nuclear power plants during its aging, the possibility of control and active influence on these processes in relation to the management of the NPP resource are considered. A complete overview of the decommissioning process of nuclear power plants and planning, development of project documentation is given. The issue of handling radioactive waste, methods of deactivation, dismantling of equipment, application of remote technologies, as well as estimation of costs during decommissioning were considered. Special attention was paid to ensuring the safety of personnel, the population and the environment during the decommissioning works.
