Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline the student must: • Know the regulatory and legal support and organization of work with OP and Central Command at industrial facilities in the implementation of automation systems; • problems of industrial safety and labor protection at energy, chemical and food industries; • basic requirements of existing rules; • organizational and technical measures to ensure the safety of work during installation and operation of instrumentation and control; • method of calculating grounding devices; • basic methods of first aid; • fire and explosion safety requirements for equipment of industrial enterprises; • conducting identification, researching the conditions of occurrence and development of emergencies and ensuring coordinated actions to prevent them at facilities in accordance with their professional responsibilities; • methods for predicting the negative consequences of natural and man-made disasters; • be able to determine the scope of their responsibilities in the field of professional activity, taking into account the requirements of the OP and the tasks of the Central Administration; • analyze the state of radiation and industrial safety during the operation of the main and auxiliary equipment of industrial facilities, provide measures to prevent accidents from the action and exposure to radioactive substances, ionizing radiation, other physical and chemical hazards; • assess and control the compliance of working conditions with established standards, conduct training on safety in the workplace; • take safety measures and develop technical solutions to prevent the occurrence of danger; • perform the calculation of the grounding circuit of the substation, shop; • assess the engineering situation during explosions; • select and apply methods for forecasting and assessing the situation in the emergency zone, calculating the parameters of the impact factors of emergency sources; • determine the composition of forces, means and resources to overcome the consequences of emergencies; • ability to make decisions on OP and CP within its powers.
