Learning outcomes: The purpose of the discipline: to provide future professionals with the necessary knowledge on theoretical issues regarding the in-depth study of the range, consumer properties and the order of formation of the quality of industrial goods; factors influencing the formation and expansion of the range of industrial goods, requirements for packaging and labeling of industrial goods; to instill skills in the methods and procedure for determining the quality of goods and their preservation during storage and promotion from producers to consumers and conducting customs and commodity examination of industrial goods.
Tasks of the discipline: mastering the basic consumer properties of industrial goods; classification, range and quality indicators of industrial goods; defects, the causes of their occurrence and ways to prevent them; factors that affect the quality of goods during their promotion to the consumer; requirements for packaging, labeling and storage of industrial goods and features of customs and commodity examination of industrial goods.
As a result of studying the course, students must
know:
- categories, concepts, terms and definitions in relation to industrial goods;
- factors of formation of the range of industrial goods;
- factors affecting the quality and safety of industrial goods;
- consumer properties and quality characteristics of industrial goods;
- range of goods, their varieties, grouping and coding of goods;
- methods of testing and quality control and safety of industrial goods;
- defects of industrial goods and the reasons for their occurrence;
- storage conditions and requirements for labeling and packaging of industrial goods;
- features of customs and commodity examination of industrial goods.

- identify industrial goods by assortment and classification criteria;
- analyze the assortment structure of industrial goods;
- use regulations governing the quality and safety of industrial goods;
- identify defects in industrial goods and determine the causes of their occurrence;
- determine the brand and gradation of industrial goods;
- to carry out a comparative assessment of consumer properties of industrial goods of different manufacturers;
- determine the origin of goods by features of labeling and composition;
determine the quality and level of safety of goods;
- draw motivated conclusions and substantiate them
