Мета вивчення дисципліни: Involve students in studying the nature and essence of ethics, morality, research on the basics of business ethics, its relationship with other fields of science and practice, basic principles and mechanisms for implementing ethical norms, standards and requirements based on the distinction between good and evil, that are inherent in each person and the formation of which is influenced by society, corporation, enterprise and organization. To instill in students the skills of independent consideration and solution of problems of doing business, methodological problems and activities with the involvement of the conceptual apparatus of ethics; to arouse students' interest in spiritual pursuits and broadening the horizons of personal worldview.
Завдання: The study of the discipline involves the formation of students' competencies: general competencies: CG 1. Ability to think independently and self-critically, to form a stable moral position in the rigid sphere of business and entrepreneurial activity. CG 2. Acquisition of communication skills and mastery of etiquette rules, for effective development of own business and development of proper strategy of interpersonal and intercorporate interaction. CG 3. Ability to prevent, manage and resolve conflict situations with maximum moral loss for all parties to the conflict. CG 4. Ability to combine their position and interests with the positions and interests of others, to realize their responsibility to employees, consumers, society, humanity, nature and the planet as a whole. CG 5. Ability to improve and develop their ethical and cultural level, realize the value and importance of the need for self-improvement, assess the worldview, social and moral positions of others and formulate the basis of their own justified position. professional competencies: CP 1. Thorough knowledge of the fundamental provisions of business ethics to the extent necessary for the professional activities of each manager, businessman or entrepreneur. CP 2. Ability and willingness to use methods and theories of ethical knowledge in the analytical and expert assessment of phenomena and processes of the modern market. CP 3. Basic knowledge of concepts, theories and methods necessary for the study and understanding of the features of ethical and moral human life and their use in the professional sphere and in everyday life situations. CP 4. Ability to show creative, active approach, initiative, conscientiousness, responsibility in solving professional problems and ethical dilemmas. CP 5. Orientation in the classical examples of ethical thought and etiquette, necessary for the formation of a complete image of a moral and ethical professional and a worthy manager.
Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes: know: - the current state of the theory of ethics in the field of entrepreneurship; - subject and specifics of business ethics, its connection with other areas of practice; - basic concepts of business ethics and methods of business communication, ethical norms and standards in the history of business ethics; - analysis of the interaction of business ethics and economic theory, features of business etiquette; - strategy of ethical behavior in the business world; - ways to control ethical behavior in the company; leadership styles, ethics of behavior of the leader and subordinate, features of their relationship; - goals, objectives and main functions of the corporation, firm, organization; - features of manifestations and main characteristics of the most painful moral, ethical and global problems of modern society. be able: - be able to use the basic terminology of business ethics; - compare and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of certain ethical and moral concepts and positions; - to form own ethical position in the decision of the basic business questions and problems; distinguish between ethical and unethical behavior; - to adapt theoretical and practical material to modern market conditions; - apply the requirements of professional ethics in their future professional activities; - solve problems of business life, based on ethical and professional experience of business ethics; - analyze the mechanisms for improving the ethical level of the organization; - apply the rules of business protocol during professional negotiations and paperwork; - to create a healthy atmosphere in the organization, maintaining the spirit of friendly interaction and mutual understanding between colleagues, to use the acquired knowledge of business etiquette in business.

Assessment methods and criteria: - Current control (40%): oral examination, tests, reports. - Final control (60%): credit.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Assessment of student achievement is carried out through transparent procedures based on objective criteria in accordance with the "Regulations on the assessment of learning outcomes of higher education." The achieved level of competencies in relation to the expected ones, which was identified during the control activities, reflects the real result of the applicant's training in the discipline. Assessment of educational achievements of students of Lviv Polytechnic National University is carried out according to the rating (100-point) scale: 88-100 Excellent 71-87 Good 50-70 Satisfactory 0-49 Unsatisfactory ECTS credits of the discipline are credited if the student received a final grade of at least 50 points. The lower grade is considered to be academic debt that is subject to liquidation. The content of diagnostic tools is aimed at controlling the level of knowledge, skills, communication, autonomy and responsibility of the student for the qualification level during the demonstration of the learning outcomes regulated by the work program. Diagnostic tools provided to students at control activities in the form of tasks for current and final control are formed by specifying the initial data and the way of demonstrating disciplinary learning outcomes. During the current control lectures are evaluated by determining the quality of specific tasks. Practical classes are assessed by the quality of the control or individual task.
