Learning outcomes: Program Competencies: • Ability to solve complex specialized tasks and problems in the field of ecology, environmental protection and sustainable use of nature in professional activities or in the learning process that involve research and / or innovation and are characterized by complex and uncertain conditions and requirements; • Ability to apply interdisciplinary approaches (methods of mathematical and computer modeling) to normalize production activities and forecasts. Learning Outcomes: • Demonstrate awareness of the latest principles and methods of environmental protection using methods of regulating and predicting industrial emissions: - Know the basics of the theory of pollution dispersion in the atmosphere and aquatic environment. - Know the elements of scientific management of environmental quality. - Be able to calculate the norms of maximum permissible concentrations of pollutants in water, air and soil, as well as sanitary protection zones of industrial enterprises and their classes. - Know the influence of meteorological conditions on the dispersion of pollutants in the environment.

Summary of the subject: Topic and theoretical basis of the course "Standardization and Prognostication of Industrial Pollution Emissions". Elements of the theory of the processes of transport and dispersion of pollutants in the atmosphere and aquatic environment. Statistical models of scattering from point sources. Theory of convective-diffusive scattering of pollutants. Influence of meteorological conditions on the efficiency of dispersion of gas emissions. Empirical method of calculating the efficiency of scattering of gas emissions to the atmosphere OND-86. Standardization and prediction of surface water quality in the conditions of wastewater pollution. Theoretical basis of pollutant degradation and self-purification of aquatic environment. Standardization of pollution in soil environment and prediction of soil pollution.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Actual control - 30 points • Examination control: 1. written part - 60 points 2. oral part - 10 points.
