Мета вивчення дисципліни: The goal of studying the discipline and the main learning outcome is the acquisition of knowledge about modern information technologies and systems, the processes of data presentation, processing and analysis, the most important principles, approaches and methods of modeling the subject area, the processes of organizing information exchange and distributed data processing in information and computing networks .

Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes: • know the basic properties and characteristics of information, signals and data, the processes of presentation, processing and analysis of data; • know the structure and objectives of modern information technology and systems, their classification and features of use; • know the processes of organization of information exchange and distributed data processing in information and computer networks; • be able to use a systems approach to subject area modeling, experimental planning methods and simulation modeling to build models of complex systems.
Required prior and related subjects: Signal transmission in information systems, Microprocessor systems in telecommunications and radio engineering, Switching and distribution of information, Information communication networks, Software tools of information and computer technologies, Databases in information and computer systems, Terminal tools of information communication systems.
Summary of the subject: The course covers a wide range of issues related to the technologies of formation and management of work with data and information in various spheres of activity. The classification of information technologies and systems is given, approaches and means of modeling the subject area, data and knowledge during their creation are considered, basic information technologies and basic information processes, principles of construction and functioning of information and computing networks, decentralized information processing systems are described. Processes of information exchange organization in information and computing networks, global concepts of development of information technologies and systems, the most important modern information technologies and prospects for their development are described.
Опис: The concept of information. Transformation of information into a resource and a product. Types of information. Forms of presentation and attributes of information. Properties and qualitative characteristics of information. From signals to data, information and knowledge. Physical signals and technology of their processing. Digital representation of text and graphic data. Information technologies and systems (IT / C) are basic concepts. Classification of information technologies. Basic information processes. Basic information technologies and their characteristics Identification of the object of study. Model as a structure for obtaining and storing knowledge. Features of modeling of complex systems. Identification of models of complex systems on the basis of experimental data. Fundamentals of experiment planning, complete factorial experiment. Fundamentals of simulation modeling of complex systems. Basic principles and trends in the development of information technology and systems (IT / C). Global concepts of IT / S development. The concept of architecture of interaction of "open" systems. Reference model of interaction of "open" systems. The Internet of Things (IoT) is a basic concept. Reference models of the Internet of Things. Areas of practical application of the Internet of Things. From batch mode to distributed data processing. Information and computer networks and their characteristics. Network distributed computing. Basic models of computing in computer networks. GRID computing, GRID technologies. Cloud technologies. Basic models of cloud services. Scattered (foggy) calculations.
Assessment methods and criteria: Oral and written surveys in the process of implementation and defense of practical works and individual tasks, control and current testing, performance of control tasks. Current control: written reports on practical works, oral survey - 40 points (40%). Final control: control measure - exam: written-oral form - 60 points (60%): written part - 40 points; oral survey - 20 points.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Assessments for the performance of practical work are given on the basis of determining the correctness, completeness and independence of the solutions obtained for each of the tasks: - the obtained results are correct, complete and obtained independently - 100% of the maximum mark; - the obtained results are correct, complete and obtained with significant help and correction of the teacher - 90% of the maximum mark; - the solutions obtained in the work are correct, but incomplete and obtained with significant help and correction of the teacher - 75% of the maximum mark; - the obtained results contain errors, but the approach to obtaining a decision and the application of tools for obtaining a decision are correct - 50% of the maximum score.
