Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of the discipline is to study the laws of mechanics by students, to the extent necessary for mastering the general professional and professionally oriented foundations of design and methods of calculating elements of technical objects of avionics according to mechanical performance criteria (static and dynamic strength, rigidity, stability, etc.). According to the results of training, students should be able to use the acquired knowledge to study other disciplines, as well as for future work in the specialty.
Завдання: 1) ability to apply knowledge in practical situations; 2) ability to search, process and analyze information; 3) the ability to identify, pose and solve problems; 4) ability to written and oral communication in native language.
Learning outcomes: 1. ability to establish mechanical criteria for the robustness of typical elements of technical objects, to draw up the calculation schemes and perform the necessary calculations, 2. knowledge of general purpose design structures, the ability to evaluate design decisions according to the criteria of economy and metal capacity while ensuring the required reliability of the technical object; 3. ability to correctly use the normative terminology of applied mechanics, operating normative and reference materials, 4. the ability to design elements of technical systems and structures taking into account the technology of their manufacturing, adjustment, operation and maintenance; 5. to assess the residual strength of elements of long-service technical systems and structures and to substantiate the possibility of extending their work life.
Required prior and related subjects: previous and related educational disciplines – physics, higher mathematics, basics of programming and software for engineering calculations; the following educational disciplines – operation of aviation equipment, aviation materials science.
Summary of the subject: Mechanics is a science that studies the general laws of mechanical motion and mechanical interaction of material objects. The object of studying mechanics is the movement and interaction of material bodies, methods of strength calculations and machine design. Mechanics is a fundamental educational discipline. During the mastering of mechanics sections, students acquire theoretical and practical knowledge and skills regarding methods of construction and calculation and determination of optimal shapes and sizes and operating conditions of typical technical objects of avionics, which are necessary for further study of general engineering and special educational disciplines.

Assessment methods and criteria: 1. Protection of reports for practical work in written form by conducting a control event on the subject of the work in the form of a test. 2. Execution and protection of control work. 3. Conducting test control at the State Security Service on the topics of lectures and practical classes. 4. Carrying out the final credit control work based on the results of studying the discipline, which consists of theoretical and practical tasks. 5. Conducting the oral component based on the results of writing the final credit test.
