Summary of the subject: The educational discipline "Aviation electrical machines and devices" is an important component of the curricula of the first cycle of higher education, specialty 173. Avionics. It is built in such a way that consideration of the issues of requirements, purpose, structure, principle of action, characteristics, working conditions and peculiarities of application of aviation electric machines and devices, in particular transformers, direct current machines, asynchronous and synchronous machines, is carried out not only in the theoretical aspect, but accompanied by appropriate calculations in practical classes, where the specified aviation electrical machines and devices are examined in various modes of operation, in particular in emergency ones. In addition, basic issues related to the application, design features, rules of operation of aircraft electric machines and devices, approaches to drawing up electrical circuits using designations and markings, which are used in the modern practice of electrical engineering, taking into account the requirements of international standards, are considered.
Опис: Electric machines are energy converters. The main types of aviation electric machines. Aviation electric machines of direct current. Conditions and process of self-excitation, characteristics of aviation generators of direct current. Direct current aviation engines (DCAE). Launching methods. DCAE characteristics of parallel sequential and mixed excitation. The concept of speed regulation methods, rotation speed, braking and reversing. Aviation Transformers. Transformer equation. Replacing scheme. General questions about the theory of AC machines. Asynchronous machines. Equation, alternating circuit electromagnetic torque, characteristics of an induction motor. Non-operating experience and short-circuit experience of an induction motor. Aviation synchronous machines: generators, engines, characteristics. Aviation electrical devices: international terminology, functions and main parts, operational requirements, designations, operating conditions, classification. Commutative electrical devices.
Assessment methods and criteria: Final control of knowledge is conducted in the form of an exam. The final semester grade is issued based on the results of current and examination control on a 100-point scale. Current control is carried out in the form of oral, written or written-oral express control of practical works, as well as based on the results of tests or written control measures.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: • oral survey, testing (40%); • control measure (exam) (60%).
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
