Learning outcomes: Know: - concepts of construction and management of telecommunication systems and networks of the third and fourth generations, functional and spatial architecture of telecommunication systems and networks of the second and third generation; - technologies and protocols of signal transmission in telecommunication systems and networks (in particular, classification of modern methods of modulation, channel separation and organization of duplex communication), communication organization schemes in telecommunication systems according to basic technologies - basic methods of physical and information ensuring of communication security; - basic methods of ensuring transmission and receiving of radio signals, including knowledge of modern methods of modulation and correlation processing; Able: - analyze the requirements for telecommunication and radioelectronic devices and systems and, on its basis, correctly formulate the technical task for the design of such devices and systems; - effectively apply automated design methods and tools in the circuit design process, in particular MicroCap and MATLAB Simulink programs, synthesize stable macromodels of linear and non-linear circles with concentrated parameters with using these programs; - apply methods of physical, cryptographic and steganographic protection of information channels.
Required prior and related subjects: - Design of software and hardware systems: sections "Principles of building software and hardware systems"; "Programming of software and hardware systems", "Security of software and hardware systems". - System engineering design of radio engineering systems and networks: sections "Methods of system engineering design of radio engineering systems and networks", "Security of radio engineering systems and networks".
Summary of the subject: The educational discipline "Information security systems" is intended for familiarization students with basic concepts and definitions in the field of information security systems. The main methods and means of information protection in telecommunication systems and networks are described. Architecture, construction principles, construction stages, and provisioning approaches are considered functioning of the information security system of telecommunication systems and networks.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current monitoring of students' learning results is carried out in laboratory classes by checking the performance of individual laboratory tasks. Semester control is carried out by checking individual written works, completed according to the schedule of semester control, and a selective oral survey.
