This paper examines the essence of social protection in the provision of state social benefits for the most vulnerable, by assigning them various types of state benefits, namely housing subsidies to cover the costs of housing and communal services and assistance to low-income families. Features and problems of social protection, legal framework, ways to solve problems that arise in the process of implementation of social protection by public authorities.
