Abstract: The objective of diploma qualification work is development of a recommender system for Bbook, which is a mobile audiobooks service with functionality of media player. The project includes the description and software implementations of algorithms required to solve the problem, an explanatory note of the volume of 57 pages, graphic materials, description of results. Audiobooks are a new way to get information and promote a book. In the market between publishers, there is fierce competition for attracting a larger audience of readers, which involves the search for new technologies. The efficiency of a publishing house and its earnings depend not only on the quantity and quality of books, but also on the availability of purchases for the reader, especially at a time when online shopping is in great demand. Now people live at a frantic pace, where priority is given to the opportunity to use every free minute to our advantage, wherever we are. That’s why audiobooks are a good solution for people to get the information they need. The audiobook market in Ukraine and Europe is still in its early days. This situation is due to the following factors: economic crisis (inability of people to pay for content), piracy, indifference to books in any format, a large selection of books, which significantly complicates the choice of an interesting book. This allows for very fast response times from the server. High availability is usually achieved with the help of resource reservation. This means a certain redundancy level of hardware resources to ensure that the system continues to function if outage happens. During the work on the diploma project the problem was comprehensively studied, from program and mathematical to psychological and ethical components. In the course of research, an article on the topic of recommendation systems was written and published.
